To get him up to speed, try Boots of Speed (not Power Treads - yet) and Yasha instead of Power Treads, because the damage bonus is good for Pudge and the movement speed boost is slightly higher than Power Treads.
The only real items you need are Heart of Tarrasque and possibly Perseverance or a recipe that uses Perseverance, so you can use Rot and lose only something like 2 health per second but deal ridiculous damage otherwise.
Rot is the farming way for Pudge, especially at Level 4. Rot is the easiest way to build Pudge's bulk.*

| eh, i know pudge is godly, but he never works for me, his hook misses 90% of the time the rot ability always killed me faster and so on. one of the only great things about him, to me, is his hp...holy shit.

| ITs a simple clicking and timing of the angle of the hook. It can curve but also be warned for any allies walking into the crossfire. You may end up dragging an ally instead of the enemy you wanted to kill. | |
