alright here's the deal.

i saw a battle chest of WC3 in a store and i want to buy it. however if i buy it, that means i would be playing sc less. so convince on why warcraft is better than starcraft and i'll consider buying it, you have 72 hours.... have fun

hmm lets see, way better graphics, the use map settings are insanely fun and have more to them the SC could wish to have, there are less hackers. And the people that do hack get banned. There are more races to use and more units overall. Heros that level up instead of the same boring units over and over and over. Spells for at least 2-3 difrent units per race not including heros. Oh and they are still putting out patches which they gave up on with SC a long time ago.

War3 or Sc?

this thread had pretty much all the reasons to why WC>SC

Basicly, wc has more support, its a funner more complex game with a shitload of more features, even the interface pwnz that which sc has to offer.

There are alot of people who say it wont run good unless u havea crappy computer. I know from experience, a crappy computer can run warcraft III fine. I had one tha tis 6 yrs old that ran warcraft III fine for the last few months i used it

The new pink is hideous so I've gone magenta now. I've only played SC's story but SC/BW had a better story then WC3/TFT. Jam Raynor is hawt.

SC sucks in comparison to WC3... even the most basic units last beyond one hit from the enemies, enabling much more complex battles (A plus in my opinion)

2... heros... in SC when your army is dead... you're base is pretty much dead. In WC3 your hero can change the tide of battle, making the game lengthier... on some occasions the hero makes a game shorter (rush situations). It's just another intresting element not available to you in SC.

SC gets redundant... I haven't played the same game twice in WC3, or even one that is similar to the previous...

that is why you should buy WC3.


WC3 has been out how long? I still play it regularly... (Although it's TFT now) IMO if you're going to get WC3, get TFT also... WC3 kinda sucks w/o TFT.

why you should concider getting both

SC good points
1. if your smart enough and have a friend who playes then its free
2. no gay heros
3. starcraft can run with almost no lag
4. starcraft has occupied me for 4 years while warcraft 3 months
5. warcraft has a gay game find system


W3 good points
1. graphics are good
2. custom games are addicting
3. the cd looks cool
4. more stratagy you can use

the other forum is just as good as telling you the pros and cons of warcraft. it's basically the same thing.

and to minny: warcraft doesn't lag at all, it's the people who lag. basically that doesn't help but make starcraft look good. Same goes along with BNet being free. Anyone can play as long as you have a connection.
Also, people see heroes as a good thing, not nessecarily a bad thing. What other game do you see a hero in a game, that actually progresses as you go along? What other game does that hero actually have unique abilities that can turn the tide of the game? This alone makes the game way more enjoyable, in my opinion, then SC.

A custom game only occupies me for 3 days then its like a dinosaur to me. Either that or noobies start to occupy and the game gets relatively short. I agree with #3, the CD DOES look cool.
