Hosting a Game Server Issues

Hello. Hosting a WoW Private Server, or more generally anyGame Server (via a program designed for hosting a specific game) has always been a problem for me. All because I use Wireless and It gives me a 192.168.X.X IP when I go into CMD.

I am part of a Wireless Network of 2 people. (My brother hosts it) and I'm connected to him in the other room. I don't want to host it on his PC as it's my business and he wouldn't allow.

So my question is, how can I host a 'Gaming Server' in a Public Network so people can connect to me.

I have enabled the ports by logging onto the server. But what IP should I use?

My CMD Prompt after I used ipconfig /all:

I have Linksys, but I don't hold the router on my PC. My brother does. I tried that link doesn't take me anywhere. Since I can't log onto a router thats not hooked up on my PC

By the way, If I manage to get into the Router and open ports. What would I do after that? (As programs ask me for an IP (and I need to give them a non-local IP)

Okayyy. Double click your network connection. Goto support, and look for Deafult Gateway. Goto whatever IP that is.

Nice Job. It asks for a User name and Password. And entering nothing doesn't work. What now ?

If nobody has touched the login, the user should be admin, and the pass should be admin, otherwise, ask your brother for the login.

I'm pretty sure people have touched the Login to fix the network. And my brother wouldn't know the login either. However I can get on his PC and possibly get the Username and Password?

Or another option would be to contact the people who manage our network and ask for username or password?

Or reset the router? (Or not a good idea as we would screw up the connection?)

Such a confusing topic for me

You have someone manage a 2 person wireless network? lololol.

Resetting it won't do any good. Figure out who has the login info and have them forward your ports.
