| New patch 1.21 --------------------------------------------------------------------------
WARCRAFT III: THE FROZEN THRONE VERSION HISTORY
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Patch 1.21
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
FEATURES
- The game now runs natively on both PowerPC-based and Intel-based Macs.
- Player can now view frames per second using the "/fps" chat command.
FIXES
- Fixed a timing problem with the game on PCs with dual-core CPUs.
- Fixed a crash that could occur with the Frost Breath ability.
- Fixed a crash that could happen in multiplayer games.
- Fixed an exploit that could happen in multiplayer games.
Important Note on Patching for Mac Players: The file layout inside the
game folder is changed significantly by Patch 1.21. As a result, in order
to be able to install the Frozen Throne expansion from CD, you must
install Reign of Chaos first, then install Frozen Throne from CD, and then
patch to version 1.21, in that order. If you patch to v1.21 and then
attempt to install Frozen Throne after that, it will not install
correctly.
MAPS
- New maps:
- (2)SecretValley
- (6)BomberCommand
- (4)LostTemple (RoC)
- The 4 Forest Troll Berserkers by the natural expansions now drop Level
2 Permanent instead of Level 2 Charged items
- (4)TurtleRock
- The 4 Ogre Warriors along the outer pathways now drop Level 2
Permanent instead of Level 2 Charged items
- (6)GnollWood
- The 4 Gnoll Brutes by the central Item Shops now drop Level 2
Permanent instead of Level 2 Charged items
Chris, since i dont post many replays pls delete the several uploaded by me in the 3 threads (the panda, the ud and the nice game thread -gg nice replay i was going to watch it but w/e v1.21)
You shouldn't have expected race nerfs. I still think panda needs nerf a lot, the breath is imba. And panda with elf or ud or human has as much mana as if brilliance, i see panda never runs out of mana to mass breath, and since there are are potions i would suggest they reduce the mana capacity... they did nothing about that.
However, unlike the prev patches we have some interesting changes.
ls removed from creeps!!! Finally. No more skilles humans winning only because of ls abuse, no more kill creeps to take ls abuses and specially orcs on LT with ls grunt and gw. To tell you i havent had many games in which i abuse with ls, the games where i lost because of ls usage are more. Well this was nice, im not sure is there any other creep from the known Bnet maps that drop ls? Well 3 maps without it means NO MORE ABUSE. |

| Heh, it took them 21 patches just to add a command that Diablo had when it got first installed. Alright, but I will have to do it when I get home. Quote: |

| This patch is good for humans because ls is f***ing shit vs human. Elves dont give a f about ls , nor orcs they have burrows, not even ud, ls is crap only for humans, only hu lost from this, no ohter race can lose as much workes as this race so this change was very important. I played the 1st games and without ls, the game's just great. Quote:

There was one replay you had where you killed 5 peons with WE under LS. | If my games in which I won with ls are10 times with mass killing workers , those who did that to me are 30. Quote: |
To me, I don't think breath is the problem, its the haze.
| breaths length is bigger even than the animation, this must be fixed, decrease range pls. |

| Maybe in team you dont see what panda does because in solo it is obvious with the little nerd they've made. |

| I have done games where there are not much units. It still has a cap. But then again, in solo, the damage it can cause can be quite drastic. Especially with the awful effects of haze. |

| Its not hard to hate something that you are using. But fighting against something that could be controlled as your equal can be a serious problem. |

| I remember when I was mod and staff I learnt that a reply posted 13 days after the last one is considered bumping. I dont know why you have this habit. At least it's not like bumping 2 year old threads .gif) |

| There is a discussion about the panda here that is worth continuing.
Its only unsafe to bump it if its like an extremely old topic and it has no merit to the times now, like a past patch or something. |
