Eh. Most numetal is boring and whiny...but I don't think there's any need to kill it. It's basically dying off on it's own...

By the way, hating pop and nu-metal doesn't make you cool.

korn shouldnt been considered nu metal, well maybe a song or 2 from their newer stuff could be considered that but their old stuff couldnt even be classified into any kind of metal genre. anyways, i like linkin park, as they were my favorite band before i listened to Korn. i dont like SOAD or limp bizket..
nu metal shouldnt die and i dotn think its slowly dying.. linkin park are huge and they are going to keep getting bigger in the years to come. im not really into the nu-metal scene except for a few bands.. but it shouldnt die.

Linkin Park are another story...

KoRn are basically considered the pioneers of nu-metal =\. Don't get me wrong...I like korn, they do have some great stuff...yet as you can see...their popularity has dropped big time. Nu-metal seems to be getting less and less popular...except for linkin park =x. Right now it seems that bands like the white stripes, Franz Ferdinand, the hives, and modest mouse are what's popular. Not sure what you'd classify those bands...but they seem to be much bigger at the moment than most stuff.
