| Hey Mods I was noticing all the threads that have been "moved:"
I would like to offer a suggestion...
back when I was running this place, there wasn't a lot of traffic in this forum, as there isn't right now. This place is getting cluttered with "Moved:" threads.
Back when I was running this place I tried to get everyone just to move the threads without having it linked to this forum... one... it's just annoying to see, and a thread that you moved, is now in 2 forums rather than one... and chances are, if you're moving it... it's not supposed to be in this forum anyways... so why advertise it in more forums?
it's aesthetically disgusting and they sit on the forum forever because there isn't a lot of traffic... so maybe you can try it out with this thread when the mods have finished reading it. |

| That's strange, because if it goes to the Void we are told not to leave a shortcut, and if it goes elsewhere a shortcut is left as a helpful pointer.
5-6 threads in this forum, it's not cluttered.
I've seen worse before. -.-; |

| yeah. I noticed this also rage. In some cases i thjink this is appropriate, but the thread coming out of the UD discussion, had no reason to be redirected. and what is sad is it was redirected twice. two redirects one from human discussion and one from undead. (I had Galatia fixed it cause it was pissing me off)
Yeah so like try and think more carefully |

| The reason it was redirected twice was my fault. I gave Galatia the wrong forum. :| |

| Well to explain to you, all that should go to the void, should be moved without redirect. What is in wrong forum has to be moved so that the thread is ok and the person knows where to post it next time. Don't say that it is strange. Maybe you can ask the admins to make Moved in another colour so you wont find it annoying. |

| Next time talk to our staff member instead of making a thread about it, PMs suffice for this kind of stuff because some other people will come up and ask stupid questions like "what thread" and "sylent was a mod OMG".

| No, I'm not going to talk to a staff member so he can blow me off... "oh it's just rage and another one of his spats"... no... I'm going to take it here and see what the members think... if they agree... stuff happens. It's called reformation.
it's like the election... majority wins. |

Hey like I told darkmage in a colorfull IM a few minutes ago... it's their forum, they can do what they like... I'm an art major, I know what looks good, and these redirects don't look good. So it redirects them to another forum... however, it draws attenion in the forum it's currently in because it has a big "moved:" next to it. Your eye is drawn to it because it sticks out. Go ahead and hit refresh on your page in the thread lists and see which threads catch your eye first without even reading anything. I guarantee you it's one of the threads that says "moved:" next to it.
I'm just offering a suggestion to make the place look tidy... but what do I know... I'm just a piss on. Like I said, they can do what they want. |

| The only problem is your sugestion doesn't make senes rage. While if it is spam it does make sense to move it to the void without a redirect if it is a decent question that needs to be answered the poster should be able to find his own post, this way he knows where to post questions like this next time, and he still gets the repsonse he wants. |

| well... you could actually have the mods do some actual work by sending an e-mail on bahalf of the forums to the person who posted saying "your post ____ (insert URL here) was moved by _____ (insert mods name here) for reasons that _____ (insert reason here) please refrain from posting in the wrong areas if you have any questions as to where a post should be made, feel free to PM a moderator.
Thanks!
-Battleforums-
now how rough would that be? the rest of us wouldn't have to see a big assed "moved:" next to the post, it would eliminate clutter, and the person would find in their e-mail the redirect, which is really the only person that needs the redirect correct? I mean, if you're looking for firewall support, you surely aren't going to go to the warcraft forums as a starting point are you? So why leave the redirect in the warcraft forums? |

| really the warcraft section moves so slow also that it hardly moves down the page. whats the point oif moving a thread if it stays on the page anyways?
not to mention there are 4 redirects still on the page. if the original poster hasnt noticed where his thread was moved he should now. no point in leaving redirects for locked threads either |

| The only reason i do it is so the thread creator doesn't think it got lost or something and makes another thread. |
