Reagan went to the USSR and did a lot of things, other presidents were not willing to do. Reagan was a part of bringing the Soviet Union down, whether you want to ignore that fact or not is ok.

Reagan didn't do much to bring it down. The Soviet economy was already screwed and Gorbachev's reforms were crap. Reagan just went in and pissed them off before the whole government collapsed.
