Turn-Based Fighting Sequence, Ideas Needed

Hey, i know its a big step, but i wanna have a system similar to breath of fire.. or FF... they are basically the same thing. A Turn based system of fighting, anyone have ideas on how to do it, please post them here.. i need all i can get, cause may "pause unit, wait 3 seconds, then unpause and let him attack for like 11 seconds" its just too much to do for each charater. Please help if you can, thank you

Wait are you saying that you want it like a real rpg where one unit attacks then they wait and another unit attacks?

Oh to post maps, first instead of writing in the provided box down below, click post reply, and there is a button that says attachments. Yeah, the triggering probably involves about five diffrent triggers each an individual part of the thing you want. probably something like unit attacks another unit. Make unit 1 unable to attack for 5 secs. versa-vice just an idea, probably alot more complicated than that and i definitely dont have the right wording.

would most likley be very complicated and hard to make... but im actually interested in making it, and using it in a straight forward RPG

yea i was trying this before, but itwouldnt work no matter how many times i signed in, but whatever... yea look at this map, i'm gonna start disecting it soon.. and alot of the guys that make a ATB battle system dont share cause it took them so long, but i intend to share IF i get the hang of it... i'm learning pretty fast, once i do it, i know it.. its just getting there to know it.. there is sooo many diffrent ways to "say" the trigger trick is finding the right one, no where near as easy as starcraft, but i'm soo happy for how much more powerfull it is. and this is just like FF7 i mean, it has the timer till you attack, its just i dont see how i would use a spell...(item spell) but i'm thinkin ill figure it out, and yea this is mostly decoded... the word Kampf = Battle and the word Gegner = Opponents, i say this cause i didnt chage them in the variables, there were SOO many, jus got lazy
