Maphack
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
A maphack is a cheat in real-time strategy games that enables the player to see more of the map than the game intends them to see. A common feature in multiplayer real-time strategy games is the inability for the player to see outside the visibility range of the individual units and buildings that the player controls. This concept is called the fog of war. Maphacking enables a cheating player to bypass the fog of war, giving them an advantage over a player who is playing legitimately. This advantage is quite large for most of the real-time strategy games that rely on the rock-paper-scissors dynamic to balance out the units' varying strengths and weaknesses.
Maphacking has also been used to cheat in other games where map visibility provides an advantage, most notably in Blizzard Entertainment's RPG Diablo II and the RTS Warcraft III: The Frozen Throne.
In recent years people using maphacks on Battle.net have been caught. Maphacking is a violation of Blizzard Entertainment terms of use, which condemns the use of any third party software. Thousands have had their accounts banned; in extreme cases, those caught cheating have had their CD key banned.

Aimbot
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
An aimbot (sometimes called "auto-aim") is a type of computer game bot used in multiplayer first-person shooter games to provide varying levels of target acquisition assistance to the player. Since it gives the user an advantage over unaided players, it is normally considered a cheat; however, valid use for aiming software does exist for players with physical disabilities, whom would otherwise not be able to enjoy an appropriate level of game play.
Aimbots have varying levels of effectiveness. Some aimbots can do all of the aiming and shooting, requiring the user to move into a position where the opponents are visible; this level of automation usually makes it difficult to hide an aimbot--for example, the player might make inhumanly fast turns that always end with his or her crosshairs targeting an opponent's head. Highly-skilled players are frequently accused of using such programs, and numerous anti-cheat mechanisms have been employed by companies such as Valve to prevent their use and thus avoid such accusations.
Some games, including GoldenEye 64, Jedi Knight: Dark Forces II, Timesplitters, and Unreal Tournament 2004, have "auto-aim" as an option in the game. This is not the same as an aimbot; it simply helps the user to aim when playing offline against computer opponents usually by allowing gunfire to hit so as long as the crosshair is within a certain area of the target. Halo 2 also uses this, although the effect is much more subtle.

Wookiee
Homeworld Kashyyyk
Language Shyriiwook
Average height 2.1 meters
Skin color Black
Distinctions Brown, grey, or black fur, retractable claws
Weapon Wookiee Bowcaster
Races None known
Wookiees are a race of hirsute bipeds in the fictional Star Wars universe. The most notable Wookiee is Chewbacca, a companion to Han Solo.
Home world
In Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith the Wookiees live in the lush forests and giant jungles on the planet of Kashyyyk, where they originated. They live in villages among the giant wroshyr trees. George Lucas has said that he originally planned Endor to be the Wookiee home planet, but at the time the technology needed to make a fit Kashyyyk did not exist, so instead Kashyyyk was used as a battleground in Episode III.[1]
Physical characteristics
Adult Wookiees are typically taller than most humans, averaging 2.1 meters (6'11").[2] They are physically strong (as suits an arboreal species), have extremely thick hair, and have high endurance (although slow moving).[citation needed] In addition, Wookiees have an excellent sense of smell.
One Wookiee, Chewbacca, is shown to be an excellent shot with his bowcaster, suggesting that Wookiees have keen eyesight and hand-eye coordination.[citation needed] He is a companion of Han Solo, Luke Skywalker, and Princess Leia in Episodes 4-6; and in Episode 3 is a companion of Yoda.
Wookiees are fully covered with hair, making them highly adaptable to a wide range of climates.[citation needed] Chewbacca is shown in such diverse environments as Hoth, Tatooine and Endor, never requiring any type of protective clothing.
Wookiees are known to have a lifespan of several hundred years.[3]
Common behavior
Regardless of their looks, Wookiees are extremely intelligent and loyal, but may have a short temper.[4] Life debts, which are held to be sacred in Wookiee culture, suggest that friendship with a Wookiee is a lifetime commitment.
In spite of a fearsome appearance and temperamental disposition, Wookiees are shown to be very intelligent and technologically proficient, as shown in Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back, Chewbacca is capable of performing maintenance on the starship Millennium Falcon, as well as being able to repair C-3PO. The Wookiee diet consists of native fish and game species.
Language
The Wookiee language is Shyriiwook. Wookiees are capable of understanding Galactic Basic, but generally none is able to speak it due to the structure of Wookiee vocal cords. In the Star Wars Original Trilogy, human Han Solo shows a knowledge of Shyriiwook, or can at least understand his companion, Chewbacca.
Some Wookiees are sensitive to the Force. One such Wookiee is Lowbacca, Chewbacca's nephew, from the book series Young Jedi Knights.
