I'm interested in purchasing either Warcraft or Starcraft, but I have too many games as it is, so I want to make sure I'm not wasting my money. I think I'd prefer Warcraft, personally. My friend Ervin has a lot of the Warcraft games, and I used to have one myself, but it stopped working, so I no longer own it. Ervin is also a member of Battleforums, but has frequented the Starcraft forums more than the Warcraft ones. I know he's played the Warcraft games more than I have, but still seems to prefer Starcraft, at least in his forum activity here at Battleforums.
Even though I was originally going to buy Warcraft III, I'm starting to consider that Starcraft might be the better game, and would like some input on which game you think would be the better choice.
That's all I can write for now, as my father is requesting that I get off the computer. I'll be back on later, and in the meantime, I would appreciate it if you let me know your opinions as to what makes one game better than the other, so that it might help me in making a decision of which game to purchase.

| Warcraft is better, cuz units are more important. One unit can easily change the tide of a battle.
Starcraft was more about, who can build the fastest and kill the other person at their lowest stage of development. Zerging! |

| Uh... I suppose you forgot the word mass in your preconceituous criticism, since all RTS work like that, one way or another. |

| Starcraft is better. There are three types of people:
1. People who like Starcraft more than Warcraft.
2. People who have never played Starcraft.
3. People who suffer from mental retardation.
Choose your pick.

So your senseless palaver doesn't work. Have you noticed that in RTS, there is the word "strategy"? As in, "a good game has many possibilities for strategies". As RTS games grow more complex, more strategy becomes involved. Look at the transition from SC to WC3.
But I like games that can be won in more ways than one. It's more fun if games last longer than 5 minutes. |

Man, if you didn't know what a preconceit is, I don't really need to disprove your post. |

| Fact of the matter is, that you used a made up a suffix to support your not-so-valid points, in an improper context. Nice job. Of course, you don't need to disprove my post, because you CAN'T.
But anyways, I don't see why you started this debate. It's my opinion, in a thread about your opinion on whether WC3 vs. SC, not to convert people. What are you, the Spanish Inquisition? |
