archons zealots stormers may be the only way to counter it if you're P. maybe mind control but that gets costly.

Maelstrom would be more effective than Mind Control unless you had enough Dark Archons to mind controll all the enemy Ultralisk, even then, it'd be better if they use Ultralisk and Hydralisks. Mind Controlling Ultralisks attacking with Zerglings won't be too helpful; at least the Maelstrom can grab some Zerglings as well and doesn't drain your Dark Archon of shields.

Of course marines and tanks would be the best choices. Maybe the you could try making the bats focus on lings?

This might be crazy, but would tens of mines work?

Or even this: make good number of science vessel and dropships, maybe like 5 vessels and 10 dropships. Then you irradiate each dropship and fly them over ultras and lings. Eh?

Might be more efficient to have the Science Vessels Irradiate each other, but you'd still want a lot of support because you won't kill enough Zerglings to save your base, nor will you kill any Ultralisks unless you sit on them for a while.

Mines could work, but you might end up doing more damage to yourself than the zerg. At this stage of the game, he can replenish his forces faster than you. SVs are better for defensive matrix. Irradiate is only good if you can keep those ultras away from your marines and shooting them from a distance, which means comsat.

i'm thinking that if they have enough corsairs you could web a goot chunk and have goons and reavers to kill them. web seems to get them stuck if they can get them to spread the webbing around.
