Q's and Observations about Computer AI settings

well...

i've been playing around with the different AI settings...

and i noticed that.... WHY was my comp building stuff
ALL OVER THE PLACE? like 5 copies of every building....
then i realized... hmm... that ratio seems familiar.
i split the enemy in 5 diff't sections of the map and
at each one i drew a location and made the comp
run the Insane AI at each individual location.

in essence, i created 5 individual monsters... all
needing to progress through that AI.

well... i just wanted to note that a lot of UMS games....
if they utilize the computer AI... make this mistake... of
running AI's from all these different loc's.
CONCLUSION: ALL YOU NEED IS TO RUN THE AI ONCE for Anywhere.

now... my Q is... anyone got any tips or pointers for running
computer AI en masse? is there an AI that's kinda like
retribution for being attacked?
any other hints?

Do you want the computer to attack when attacked?

not necessarily just attacked.
i know how to make stuff like that with triggers....
i just wanted to know if there is a preset AI which... keeps the comp fairly
dormant.. then if they are hit... it will create as many attack units as it can
and attack to the player.

i dont' want anything specific... i just want it to be an ongoing
"idea" for the comp.
also.. in this manner... all i have to do is feed the comp minerals/gas instead
of telling it where to go.

Well, I know you said you didn't want anything specific, but you could use the Easy Campaign, making them suck, but if they suffer a death of a unit, you create a ton of units for them at their base and use the script "Send All Units On Strategic Suicide Missions". Also, you could make it so when they suffer a death, it changes their campaign from Easy to Insane. I say that because I don't know of an AI script that makes them get pissed when you attack them
