You have to take into consideration the fact it isn't always that they put the map together quickly, a lot of the time it's simply because they lack the skill to make it look professional. Map making does require a decent amount of skill and experience before your maps start to even resemble something playable After I got a good amount of experience under my belt, and was ready to make professional SCUMS maps, I just scrapped all my old projects and started fresh. It was quite a few maps after that before I had before I even begun mastering the combined art of designing, creating, balancing, troubleshooting, and the other skills required in making really good SCUMS maps. Now my maps end up 100% bug free. It's a matter of hard work and dedication, not necessarily just a lack of time put into the map
Mines still better, shes pretty!

I know it takes those other things, but without putting time into a map, you can't accomplish all of thise at a full 100% to begin with. ^_^ Even if you managed your time, you wouldn't be able to make a really good map if you didn't put enough time into each individual area of map development to make sure that the map works and is bug free, like you said!

I made a 256x256 before that had so many triggers, I ran out of locations and 'create with property' actions. I had to make even more triggers to circumvent that. On top of that, it had a small sound file attached. It still didn't take 15 minutes to dl cable-to-cable. Either that map had a decent sound file attached, or one of you had dial-up. Not to say that the map wasn't good, it probably was or you wouldn't have said so, I was just being technical on the rest

I never said it didn't take those things. I was just saying that you might think a map didn't have a lot of time spent on it, when really it did, and the map maker just wasn't skilled enough to troubleshoot it properly and fix the bugs, or lacked the capacity to make it of any higher quality. Lack of time put into a map and lack of map making skill tend to look awfully similar I just thought I should mention it. Of course, on top of all the things I listed, it also takes a great deal of time. I'd never say otherwise

That is one factor that will always anny me. They imbalance the stats of a ranged unit, usually a marine for stim packs or a ghost for range and damage to light armored units, ands they will just upgrade and rule the whole game. Too bad they don't double everyone elses stats so that it's fair on a substantial level, atleast.
