Map Word Overlapping help

Does anyone have any tips of how to over lap words in
1) Unit names
2) briefing
3) Force name, and game title

I know all three have a different ways of overlapping. And I just want any tips on how to overlap better... (im quite terrible at it, takes at least 30 tries to get a decent overlap, if im lucky a very impressive overlap)

Do you use SCX-tra. I think you can't overlap in that one but you can do like a different color for each letter.

After all your words and overlapping marks, Put an invisible tag after it. Then, after the invisible tag, put letters or , . / It helps the centering a lot.
