| StarForge v1.1 is here! That's right, it's been nearly a month since my last update, and I think I can say that StarForge has been getting better every single day since then. What's new, you ask? - Isometric terrain brushes (resizable, too!) - not fully finished
- Options screen for changing allocation limits
- Many fixed bugs in trigger editor

| When i click on the Starforge icon , it will load a screen, but not the editor.. Im still using 1.00 , which let me save and use them in SCXE. |

| Try clicking the splash screen.
I've just uploaded a slightly newer version that displays the splash screen for 1.5 seconds and then automatically loads the editor.
A future version will allow you to set an option on whether or not to display the splash screen at all.

If you have previously downloaded 1.1 (as of 10 AM on wednesday), please download it again. There was a bug in the trigger editor (yeah yeah, laugh it up) where custom unit names did not display correctly. It's fixed and re-uploaded.

| Few bugs, but good job. Could you possibly remove sprites with no icon, or duplicate sprites (doodads specifically).. And make the left side of the editor resizable... Dark templar sprite crashed me.

| Archn: What do you mean by "no icon" or duplicates? Doom Dragoon was supposed to have re-made the listfile for the sprites, but he didn't finish in time for the release. As it is, you can customize the list of sprites (and units) by editing the sprites.lst file (or units.lst, in the data folder) with notepad.
Irunthemile: Do you start Deadaim or Starforge first? Do you get any error messages? Anyone else have this problem?

| Some sprites do not have an image, and are kinda pointless.
I think what Starforge needs is a configuration for which sprites to display with a preview available. And some doodads are duplicates: http://members.lycos.co.uk/archn/list2.jpg shows a bunch in the bottom right. Obviously not all of those are needed.
Could you also possibly remove all NULL terrain except for 1, from each tileset? Of course this is a lot of work, but the list is huge with all the black stuff.
Just suggestions. And try placing all the unites and sprites, and see if any cause crashes in the editor itself, like the dark templar sprite for example. Perhaps you made a bug, or the bug is in starcraft, but you shouldn't have the option of losing all your work (when you aren't expecting it) because you decide you want to place a dark templar sprite. Or maybe a warning dialog, like a * in front of the name, so that we don't use it.

| Nevermind about the ** thing, I see Clokr_ has done that for us. Thank you Clokr_ and for that I will not unprotect Pro Edit for the first month after its release. After that, then I can try to attempt. Not saying I can do it, but I can try :-)

| ok heim, just a question I know it will prob be hard, but why not have some sort of starup menu, thats like starforge on one little button, help on another, version info on another and so on and so forth, so that it goes around the globe (sorta like ur sig). Also, have the left and right doors correct. Finally, name each of the properties when u create a unit (not just 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10 and so on, have it like 1-invincible, 2-burrowed etc etc.)

| As for help, you will be able to press F1 at any time in the program to bring up help on a certain topic. I like the idea of icons around the globe, but I want the program to start up as quickly as possible without any mouse clicks made by the user - I'm even considering removing the splash screen because of this. Also, I'll probably add the version info into the help menu. I really don't think anyone reads it (based on how many people ask me what's in the new version).

A long time ago, I read the initial post where the idea for this program was being conceived of. I was inactive for a while, and now, many months later, it has actually been created! It's like a dream come true.
I think it is fantastic that you have made StarForge, and I hope it is soon perfected into a final release.
I would like to try the current version, but your website seems to be down. Can I download it from another location?
