| Map Making Tournament CustomMaps.Org Map Making Tournament
hosted by http://www.custommaps.org
Rules:
1) You may use any program available that includes, but does not limit, StarForge, SCEP, SCX-Tra, ISOM, Map Colors, SCM ToolKit, SCM Draft, GUEdit. Use these programs at your own risk though, corrupted maps are not the judges problem.
2) You must post your map in designated thread at or before the designated end time.
3) You must do all the triggers and terrain during the allotted time, that means no importing trigs or copy terrain over from another map or using a premade map. Anyone caught breaking this rule will be permentaly banned from any further map making tournaments.
4) You must turn in your own map.
5) You must have enough slots for all the judges to play at once at least ( you can always have more though ).
Judging:
The judges are looking for creativity in maps, this means that the judges aren't looking for t3h 1337est bound, defence, blood, matrix, insert commom map name here, that can be made in the designated time. The judges discourage making these current maps, but you can if you want, but you will probably not recieve high marks unless there is some really good twist in the maps that drastically changes the idea behind the map. Time: Sunday Nov. 2nd, 3:00 PM Eastern Standard Time to 6:00 PM Eastern Standard Time
Place: Clan CM ( US East server ) It is not mandatory to be there but there will be a CM.Org members keeping track of the time there.
Judges: 4, The judges are still to be announced.
Place To Post Maps: Will be made day of tourney.
---
Please sign up on the forums and post in this thread if you are interested in the tourney so we have some idea of how many people are going to be in the tourney. Thanks for your time, hope to see you there! |

| WoW.. Another Map Making Contest? LoL.. There is already one going on with PiNkPeOn, but that deadline is Halloween. So, I guess people would join if they wanted to. So this tournament is inviting BattleForums members, but not FOR BattleForums members. Also, is the deadline November 2nd, or the starting point? If it is the deadline, you are out of luck (due to PiNkPeOn's contest), but hey they might use the maps they made in there.. Good luck all who are involved in the contest because im not going to be in it!

| Submission time is too short. 3 hours? If that time hits 12mn here, then you can bet I'm not there.

| No you have to MAKE the map in 3 hours. I think It should provide to be and interesting contest if enough people do it. (And well this is the 3rd place I seen the word spread)
Anyways 13, If you want you can goahead and signme up for a judge. (I know thermo asked me) |

| Thirteen has asked the staff if he could do this tournament, along with other UMS making forums. We agreed that it would prove interesting to see if one of our members will win this tournament, and so we accepted it.
Therefore, wish you all good luck, and may you win the MMT |

| I am in PiNk PeOn's contest so I cannot do it, but I would if I had time and three hours just isn't enough time for me to make a map so thanks for the offer anyways.

| The 3 hours is part of the challenge...although I'm wondering how they're going to enforce it. How can you know if someone started on it before then?

| You know heimdal I was thinking about that as well anyways. I think it would be neat if SF some how had a Time clock for maps your making. Alot of times people say "I worked on my map for 5 hours" And if you made it over the course of months like I did for house of the haunted I have no idea how many hours i spent on it. It would be neat to know. |

| I hate it when people lie about the time it takes them to make their map making it seem asthough they're an expert map maker... it sickens me.. |

| I might do this, dunno if I've got time...
I don't thinkt he 3 hours was part of the contest itself, I think it was when the judges would be on to judge the maps..?

| It's 3-6 PM EST. If you are not remotely close to being able to go by Eastern time, then I'm sure we can pre-arrange something if you contact myself of Thermo (on my forums) in advance. |

| It was kind of pathetic that even with all of the advertisment and planning that the event flopped. However I'd like to thank the admins and moderators who helped put it together...even though it didn't go as planned, the effort will be remembered by myself and everyone apart of CM.Org. Thanks again. |
