all the map revealers in SCM draft are created for the player above the player it indicates. So if you tell it to create for player 1 it will create them for player 2.

I would suggest taking this into acount and first createing the map revealers for a computer that isn't needed. (like player 8) The open the map in X-tra and give all the map revealers to player 1. Lastly go back to SCM Draft and create the remaining map revealers.

You know, I just make my own revealer grids by telling it to show the grid map and then I manually place them like every ten spaces on the grid. It ain't that hard.

it just takes a while for 8 player on a 256x256 map

If you place them every 10 sqaures on a 256 map you get 26 across and 26 down being 676 map revealers per player. If this was for 8 players then that is 5408 total. That would take forever to place. Besides you would be really mad when you get to 1650 and find out you can't place more. LOL

Of course you can place them further apart or have them all owned by a computer (if you have one) so you don't need more than 676 and share vision to it. It would be interesting to find the best patturn of map revealers to have it show the entire map using the fewest revealers.

lol, make a map that is so covered with map revealers that when you open it in an editor that all you see is overlapping revealers and then make them owned by comp and share vision. test who can create the laggiest game.

map revealers won't lag the game much, A better way is to create the max units burrowed in one spot then order them to move. Another way is to play TONS of music overlapping with hypers. I played a lag map that i had to control-alt-delete to get out of. (damn)

The lag hack doesn't help your lag it only fakes your ping bar to one green so people don't ban you. And it doesn't have to do with internet lag anyways.

Apparently people know their hacks in the ums forum.
OK 10 map revealers suck! no offense. 15 -17 apart is the best. If you dont 18 the corners are not gonna be revealed
Why would you have map revealers all over a 256x256 map? Unles it's a huge defense map or something, there's basically no need to reveal that big of a map.
I've tested the map reavealer thing.

LOL ok but in a map editor since it is foolish to dictact to people what they can make. It is best not to restrict people. But I do see where your coming from Master

All i'm saying is that you don't always have to download the latest software off the internet to accomplish the tasks that you can already do. People these days rely to heavily on the latest software to save them a bit of time. I have to figure out all kinds of ways to get around problems in map editor cuz I have a Mac and there's basically no good map editor software out there for Macs. I would kill for xtra editor but I know that I can't get it for my computer. If only someone would make it for the Mac...
