| After countless hours of trying to get people to not post stuff that is already answered in the faq thread, somebody does.
Why doesn't it work! |

| that is wrong. i tried that. disabling doodad state makes the beacon cloaked. and it says disabled in red. just like bunkers. you can still select them. |

| Ok, I'm not in a good mood right now, but read this from the faq:(and no I did not read the question wrong because this q has been asked a million times in the past)
CLOAKED UNITS
CONDITIONS:
-always
ACTIONS:
-disable doodad state for :UNIT: at :LOCATION:
-create 1 :detector: for :PLAYER: at :LOCATION:
-wait 500 millieseconds
-remove 1 :DETECTOR: for :PLAYER: at :LOCATION:
The unit should be a computer unit and you should not be shared vision with it. The detector should be yours. |

| You can also use StarForge and place them as a sprite. To do this, open your map, go to the "sprites" layer, and find the sprite you would like to place, and place it like you would a unit.
Click the picture in my signature to get StarForge.

| i got it, its cool, but i cant select the beacons to change the color or owner. i know you can go to a properties menu and change the owner, but it is all one color. and that is good for some beacons, but i also have mass attack beacons and they need to be color coded =(

| Uhhhh....Don't all beacons flash the same color?
Outta luck there, buddy. Either make them all invisible and live with it, or make some invisible and some color coded but normal. And if you're wondering how to change the colors, use SCM Toolkit and make sure that your scenario is in .scx format.
I hope thats good enough information for you, cause I'm no "fool" that stays up all night, yarrharrharr. And did you ever figure out the AI? Or are you still "fooling" around with it! Harrharr. Just kidding. PM me later if you're still having troubles with the AI and give up and want me to fix it on your map and I'll try my best if you want me to.

| Yeah, thanks for noticing the point I was trying to make.
Man just realized something, when SF comes out, I'm going to have to put up like a ton of stuff in the faq that explains how to do it. Or I could bribe heimdal into doing it. .. |

(of course it doesnt blink, you only place one sprite) |

| you would need to disable it and have a detector see it before you remove it.

Ok, I've barely used SF so I don't know much about the sprites properties. And I said I would have to add all the information you need to know about sf. Not just cloaking a beacon. Please try to understand more clearly next time. I'm getting tired of restating what I say.
Morisune, no that will not work. If you were to create a beacon and then remove it, then the beacon won't be there anymore. |

| I belive it is unclickable depending on who owns the beacon. (Human or Computer) |
