Unprotecting Maps (The Easy Way)

I'm sick of people always asking how to unprotect maps. I'm even MORE sick of people responding with long explanations that take hours to perform. Therefore, I'm attaching a file that detects a map's protection and then unprotects it. You need WinZip to unzip the file. Your welcome!

All credit for SC Unprotect goes to archn.

EDIT: ATTACHMENT REMOVED

WHAT THE %$#&
I'm going to rip him a new asshole

I wrote this program!

The original program also contained a copyright notice, mentioning that it was illegal to redristribute it.

I'll post screenshots of the source code and the forms in VB to prove it.

Luckily SCU has weaknesses, and I know what they are. Starforge will be immune to its detection method. That still doesn't help the hundreds of maps out there protected by SCM Toolkit and GUEdit, though.

If Archn stole Heimdal's program, I really doubt he wrote the unprotecting tutorial too. What the hell is his damn problem? The prick is going to steal my color list soon I predict.

Cut and paste from here:

Ok I just reregistered now to deal with this one thread, which I've already reported to a mod to get closed. Censorship is one thing, but people are entitled to the right of not having their maps raped and stolen by the countless newbs on bnet, and your meager opinion that this is not the case shows how ignorant you are. Map makers who intentionally lock their maps for ****tards like you NOT to see them should be entitled to do so because it is a product of their own work and creativity, which if you can't stand not being able to tamper with or incapable of figuring out then just consider that a challenge for you to do better or else crawl off and roll in your own imcompetance somewhere else!

Now I wouldn't have a problem with this if, of course, there was nothing to justify it, but alas, it's a proven phenomena that maps DO get stolen and rereleased on bnet very frequently with only so much as a few names changed or some units added, and nothing that does justice to the original work done by the author. Most maps have the email of their original authors included anyway, so if you are really determined to get ahold of it an unlocked version then I know a lot of mappers would be ok to give it to you, but now you no longer have to even bother with that step when you can now inconsiderately remove protection and rerelease at will any modifications to it you want.

P.S. Its ironic on a utility made to unprotect maps for, lets face it, stealing or otherwise doing/seeing things the author intentionally did not want you to do/see, that here you come along and change its original author's name to your own. Not that I care, this program should still not exist either way, but I do seriously hope you never get any credibility again while you exist in the Starcraft community, asstard!

Another note - since this program has been modified from its original state, I would not be surprised if it is trojaned or has some other nasty code in it.

I was not aware that archn "supposedly" ripped this program off of Heimdal. Therefore, due to popular demand I will remove SC Unprotect.

Here is a screenshot of the main window and some of the code in visual basic ON MY COMPUTER:

Note - the status bar on the main window is a feature I added after the first version had been leaked.

Heimdal didn't intend to spread it. Why do you think he was so mad when he saw it was posted here.

You have no right to claim I did not make that tutorial.
Oh really? Just like you made that unprotecting program? No, that's a load of crap. Heimdal made the program not you, and therefore I surmise you stole the tutorial just like you stole Heimdal's program. So you have witnesses huh? Bullshit, of course they will lie for you and cover your ass, they're your subsidaries. Funny how you didn't make any response to the program but made a response to "your" tutorial after reading my post. I have no right to claim you didn't make the tutorial? You have no right to steal Heimdal's copyrighted program. You disgust me.
