| Can you say "BULL$#*T"!?!?... God, iv'e never REALLY felt the need to post a reply until now.
I am with heimdal and drunken %101 on this...
First off, stealing a copyrighted program from someone is not only wrong, but it's ILLEGAL AS HELL, meaning that heimdal has every right to sue this doomis's ass off. And I hope he does too! I for one know heimdal enough to say that he is the true programmer here. And if anyone thinks otherwise, just take a look at his new program he's been working on (SF), that should be enough to convince anyone. Hell, heimdal already gave out proof that HE is the creator of SCU anyways. And while we are on the subject of unprotecting maps, YES it is wrong to unprotect someone's hard work and to even look at it and think "Hey, I can do blahblahblah if I unprotect this." HOWEVER... Does anynoe ever stop to think that just MAYBE the sole purpose of SCU was to help out all those poor mappers who smoked too much weed in their life and f#cked up their memory too far to remember their own passwords? I for one am an occasional victim of memory loss, and so being a mapper, I can see a purpose in having an unprotector to help me out with MY OWN MAPS. Think about it. Basically, Two Words: F#ck Archn.
I'm saddened by the world today, im hungry, tired, and now im pissed. Im going to friggin sleep. Late.

| Bleh, I cant sleep. :sleepy Hey Archn, if what you say is true, then i apologize. I rarely seem to look at the dates of posts in forums i join for some reason. I had a tad much to drink earlier too, so lol. :fwink As long as all is good, im coo with things. But now that im much more sober, I really do have to ask: What made you think of doing something of this nature in the 1st place? I mean we all make mistakes, but what did you think would happen by doing such a thing? It's just that when I write a prog/game or make a map, it's this sort of thing that makes ME think twice before actually allowing others to see or use my work. There's always the possibility that if somehow people actually like my work, they might try to steal it all for themselves... That kinda crap can tends to piss me off. It's happened to me before, but w/e, that's the past now. Anyways, sorry for being a stoopid azz.

| I didn't intend to mass release it, just impress a few friends. But then in July I told everyone on August First if they didn't give into my demands, then I would mass leak everything I've got. They called me a newb, and then this all happened. All I was asking for was the Unit Selection hack. I still haven't got it. Indulgence/Drakken are mean people.

| Unit selection hack puts a circle of their player color around the building that they have selected. For example, when you highlight a marine, you see a green circle around it. The person with the hack would see for example a blue circle around it. And the unprotector was leaked by Mp(U).

| This is just a very old, uselesss clone of the other thread, which was closed due to ginormous amount of flaming, and because it was basicly about unprotector, which is now, no longer popular witht he mods, (as if it ever was)
But i can see why.
THink of this.
You make a map, and you love it, people love it to.
Now, some noob, who happens to stop by here, dls the unprotector, and rigs the map. Then theres thousands of versions of your map, and every time you go to play a game, you have to constantly redownload.
We have tryed and tryed to contain this unprotector, but it was released, and then lots of people downloaded it, and then hand it out like candy, like on a site, which is *** cause of it holding the unprotector, is now no longer aloud to be spoken of on these forums, because of the unprotector.
Now, can you see how unpopular this really is?
How it will ruin peoples long and hard work. And how someone can just ruin it within a matter of minutes.
So please, just close this thread, cause as ive said before, any more commennts beyond this will most likely result in flaming, if not more spam.
So spacebar,
THINK ABOUT IT.

| Or look to new methods of protection on the map that you've spent time on. A good map maker knows the current situation, and how to overcome the obstacles.

| borednerd -- What are you implying? I never said anything about noobs who unprotect maps are doing a good thing. On the contrary, I said basically the same thing you did, only i dumbed it down into a sentence or two because i didn't feel like getting into it at the time. I did say, however, that unprotectors do serve a positive purpose as well. I don't own one myself, but I have before due to the fact that at the time I had used a numerous amount of passwords for everything, and I do forget things a lot. Yes, there was a lot of flaming, and I was drunk lastnight when I said what I did to archn and I had apologized to him for it in a post later that night. So the issue seems to be resolved again. As for closing this thread, thats up to the mods. Get a hold of one of them if ya want.
Archn -- I wish I could help you with that, however I have never used a hack ever in my life (not even a maphack), and don't really intend on doing so anytime within the near future. New methods of map protection are currently underway as we speak. Heim's SF should be the best protector once it's finished, and if not well then there's always PROEdit by Clokr. You can read about all of this on Heim's forums. I doubt that if I post a link to it, it will stay in this thread, but w/e. Here.
You know, come to think of it, i can't really remember how I ended up here. Weird, lol...

| And let's not forget Archn is a crass lying bastard who stole the SCU program from Heimdal, lied about the screenshots, and posted on many old threads to flush out the thread where he admitted he stole the program.

| And lets not forget, it takes a kid to steal something, it takes a man to admit what he has done.
We flame archn for doing such a horrible thing, but yet no peace for how he has apologized...
such loving people.

such loving people. | It's like you're saying a thief stole some diamonds from a jewelry shop, then on the next day returned it back. It's like, 'peace man, I took the diamonds. No hard feelings.'
Even if the thief did admit, he still stole it. That's the fact, which no one can change. He should still be arrested. Though I must admit Archn's bravery for admitting, he still is guilty. But of course, the punishment should be less now.

| If Heimdal says he forgives me, then none of you have a right to hold a grudge, and should be ashamed of yourself.
