You probably already have like a lot of these threads, but is there any way to speed up GUEdit (terrain). It loads so slow, and when you look at a different part, it has to reload everything.

Someone said try running GUEdit with Starcraft open, but I don't think that help me at all. Please help if you can.

close all your programs and go get something do drink//eat, itll be loaded when you come back :P

Actually that doesn't work unless you close all besides Starcraft. It's worked for me on the 3 maps I've made. Run Starcraft, then load up the terrain editor for GUEdit. after both boxes hae showed up click on Starcraft then wait for about 5 seconds and press alt + tab. Open up both boxes and it should run faster.

P.S. if it slows down again then repeat the process.

Hmmm.. that's strange it's always worked for me... But maybe it's just both of my computers.. maybe it has something to do with windows XP?

i dont really mind takin time...its not that slow for me...and if i have anything else running its even slower and crashes my computer sometimes :P (not really im just not used to so much lag)

Wait for StarForge, it has the same capability (and a better interface!) and loads almost instantly.
