| Here's a novel concept: Instead of begging for some random person to make the map, try making it yourself.
And the capitals . . . all the capitals . . . euthanize some of them, please . . . |

| Perhaps you misinterpreted my advice for snobbishness. Let me clarify:
I said perhaps you should try making it yourself because in all likeliness, no one is going to make your map just because you want them to -- unless, of course, you happen to be good friends with them. Sorry if I seemed kind of callous before, but I simply meant that you're probably just wasting your time. People who ask for artists or writers to paint a certain kind of picture or write a certain poem are usually ignored or scoffed at, unless they are properly compensated in return.
StarEdit and other third-party editors aren't that difficult to learn -- you could probably do it in an afternoon, and there are tutorials floating around everywhere -- so if you want the map made, you're probably going to have to do it yourself. |

| It would, if you made zerglings instead of civilians. Then you could namethe hero one Waldo and the others Jason. |

| This map sounds deceptively more difficult than it seems. You'd need to set it up to run a trigger to randomly generate Waldo in a certain location, and I, for one, have no idea how you'd do that. But I'm just a StarDraft noob, so someone else would probably know how.
A perhaps easier solution would be to have the zerglings create a moving throng with Waldo generated at the center; he would then lope about with the others in an enourmous, buzzing herd. |

| Map monkeys? Your racial slurs will avail you not. Good day, sir!
But actually, I might be interested in making this map to practice my triggering. If only I understood the AI triggers...

| You can generate a random place for Waldo to be placed in a multitude of ways. The bes methods would be to use Switches and randomize them and create Waldo at a different location depending on what the result is, you have a different location for every possible result. If you have three switches, you get 8 possiblities. If you have 4, you get 16 possibilities.
A more efficient method would be to have burrowed Zerglings, or Drones, or Defilers, or whatever you want. You have an amount corresponding to the number of switches (8 for 3 switches, 16 for 4, etc.). Then, depending on the reuslt you center a location on that kind of unit and change its ownership to enable you to center on that kind of unit again, but in a different place.
I could make an example if my description doesn't convey how to do it, which it probably doesn't do too well.

| I'd personally do something like this, with Player 7 being Waldo and Player 8 being the rest of the units. Make them the same player color, though.
First off, have lets say 256 civilians, in a 16x16 fashion. Then, have 16 burrowed drones to the left of all the columns and 16 drones to the top of all the rows. Randomize 4 switches each (or just re-use them) to give a random drone out of each couple of 16 to Player 9. Now, have it so if Player 9 brings atleast 1 drone to each row - lets say, row 2 - have it so player 9 receives all units in that corresponding row- or row 2, in this example.
Next, have it so if player 9 brings atleast 1 drone to a column- lets say column 3 - it gives all units owned in that column to player 7. It will only own 1 unit in that column, since P9 only commands 1 row. Now, set health percentage for Waldo for P7 to something else (so it looks different than the P8 units), remove all drones, and you're set! |

| I will make this map sometime in the near future. Very good concept. Excellent, even. Your originality is impressive, your innovation unmatched, your insightfulness unparalleled; although I don't like the attitude you were greeted with upon unveiling such an incredible idea. At least you two are good friends now.
