Help with Hero Abilites

In a version of Hero Arena I am creating I am trying to force all the heroes to reserach the abilities, range, movement, mines, siege, glands etc. I have made it so all the basic units (dom 1, fallen 1 etc.) have these abilites removed, but some of the advanced units (dom 3, dom 2, sil 3) have their default abilites because they are heroes, and I want to force them to research the abilites as well. I have the Starcraft X-tra editor, anyone know how to make heroes have researchable abilites instead of default?

As far as I know, can't be done unless you use a mod.

As of right now, hero abilities sit where they are. Heros do not research their abilities, only basic units do. If you figure out how to mod the game applying your wishes, remember this; only people with YOUR map and the modding program to extract it can play your map. I don't know if trigger editing to mod the map allows hero ability editing with it.

You could use Arsenal 3 and remove the hero flags for hero units, that would force them tp upgrade. Otherwise, there is no simple of way of doing it with the current patch.
