Need file stardat.mpq

now before anyone says anything I swear I installed the original starcraft last night, and brood war right after that, played online, and had a replay.

But today it was acting all wierd, so I uninstall it, and try to reinstall it but it says that I need the original starcraft to play. Now I go off on a rant (the key was mine the disc was not, I lost the original disc and cannot find it otherwise the problem would likely be solved), and have to go ask my friend for the disc again but I dont want to, can anyone help me? or tell me were I messed up?
