I'm sure I read this on the Blizzard website, but I can't remember where I found it.
They said somethin like this:
We are going to release StarCraft 2, but we're not sure when. One thing is for sure though. There will new races with new concepts and totally new units. Nothing like Terran, Zerg or Protoss.

Has anyone seen this before?

Yeah, on these forums. By you. Whom heard it from the voices in your head. Considering theres still a major storyline with the races, your idea is completely flawed on every level

No, I've never heard Blizzard say anything close to that. The most close thing I've heard about SC2 being released was that "leaked" letter some Canadian (like they find anything good in Tree-Country) about SC2 under devolopement with Ghost.

Other wise, no. Nothing about completely different concepts.

Yeah, something similar was said. In an interview with Bill Roper he said (not perfectly quoted)
"The production of another starcraft rts game is not for sure, but we will definitely be re-enerting the world of starcraft again."
