Oh well. | "Zeratul recognized the name and asked if Kerrigan had instigated the hybridization project. Duran denied the accusation and said that he served a far greater power. The zerg-protoss hybrid were the last step in a vast cycle that was approaching its end. Scattered on a thousand different worlds, the hybrid would presently awaken, and the universe would change forever."
huh?
On a Panel discussion with Chris metzen, he clearly said that they would deal with the Hybrids.

| Re: Some light After Brood WAr Yes, but "will deal with hybrids" could mean next game, the game over, or a thousand games from now. It's not a solid answer.
I honestly expect them to put them in another long-delayed sequel: Starcraft 3.

I honestly expect them to put them in another long-delayed sequel: Starcraft 3. | except it was at a panel discussion for Starcraft II.

| Re: Some light After Brood WAr everyone knows blizzard loves to make expansions. Whatever starcraft 2 is isn't going to be the complete version of the game. so if there are hybrids missing, then they will probably come a year later in an expansion. but i think the hybrids will definitely be addressed in this game. |

| Re: Some light After Brood WAr Expansions are good for buisness, and give a chance to improve on a game without delaying the whole thing for months with extra features.

| Re: Some light After Brood WAr I'd rather see Blizzard be true to their fanbase and instead of releasing excessive expansions, include this content in the original release.
IE: In the original starcraft they had all the info for dark templar, dark archons, and more. But they were forcefully disabled.

| Re: Some light After Brood WAr and they were included in the expansion because there was no way to balance them properly in the original Starcraft.
"Including" everything from the expansion, would make a game released in 2003 would be released in 2004, if WCIII was released with TFT content. SC would have been delayed more than a year also. What is the point? Plus the price would go up because you are essentially adding half another game to the original. That doesn't make sense.

| Re: Some light After Brood WAr No. It's doing nothing more than including all content in the game. Heck, the last playable version of Starcraft was in every way superior to the retail version.
It's just a matter of enabling it. Expansions are just one big money grab.

| Re: Some light After Brood WAr Starcraft: Broodwar was, in fact, superfluous. Dark templar, Dark archons, and other Broodwar units were as balanced as they are in broodwar. All broodwar really did was enable those units, and new terrain types/new triggers.
Then they released it under the pretence of new content.
Also when I said "Last playable version of Starcraft", I was referring to the last playable beta. It's gameplay was a lot quicker, smoother. Attacks had more appealing graphics and sound effects.
Even the templar merging animation was a lot better. Then they butchered it.
