They won't release a demo until the game is packaged and ready to ship. Think about it, you release a demo you are effectively putting out your game into the public domain regardless, models, etc. before launch and while the game is still in development. Not something a company wants to do.

They did it with D2, D1, WC2 and I believe SC.

So the great majority of units are available at tier-2 or before, and beside the gardian and the ultralisk, they're all cheap. I'm glad.

Lurker cost the same as before, its just that part of the cost have been transfered to the hydralisk. I can live with that. And we can expect the ultralisk to be more powerful.

no, they didn't release demos for their games when they were in Alpha.

When the game wsa either finished or decent enough to relase at the moment. SCII is still moving into Alpha, the Demo isn't going out while working on development of the game is still happening.
