New strategies

Obviously for mostly TVP, TVT, and PVP.

What do you think some common strategies are going to be? I think Reapers and Banshees are going to be a pretty deadly combo for harassment and hit and run tactics. THough Toss units seem more straigh forward with the only micro required being targeting the scissors to your rock.

I think BCs and Thors are going to be tough to beat.

H&R tactics have to be taken seriously after how Blizzard raped the Valkyries with "moral supervision."
Harassment can make or break a game easy, psychologically. If you have a strong player harassment can only go so far.
As far as strats go, the maps you play need certain fine tuning. Space maps, ground maps, bridge maps, layered maps (elevation) all require that certain unit that requires that certain combo one-two, and that certain strategy that again, depends on the map, player, and race. It should be exciting to see how players choose the strategies that we all know Blizzard often lets slip through their hands unwillingly. This goes mainly to speak for D2 where so many builds were most likely so unexpected.

i still see the protoss as the "build very powerful units but build very few". terran is like the middle type of thing and the zerg are just "mob em".
i think toss players might use the charge ability to rush in with a few units and then retreat charge in again with another group and repeat. don't know much about the zerg right now. the mothership, i think the time bomb is the anti terran weapon since they use a lot of projectiles (wonder if it will work with hydro spit??) while the planet cracker would be anti zerg since of all the ground units they have.

the zerg i think with the new type canal that they have where a big worm pops up and deploys tons of units i think they might use that for attacking behind the lines. load a bunch of zerglings into it pop up at the base change some into the suicide bomber and that's a lot of damage.

terran man i think people might use the supply depot as a way trap a player in, set up the wall and then have some def to try and keep them contain and whenever you want assault them. the submerging of the supply depots is going to be a sight to see. the vikings ooo man they are awesome. go transformers! fly in from the flanks and you suddenly see missile turrets, transform and take them out opening a hole in the defense.
i would love to see somebody do this and put 3 thors to guard it. suddenly an army comes to try and break out and suddenly a massive artillery barrage hits.

*insert homer drool*

That whole combo has two problems: Speed and accessibility.

The Protoss have hit and run units: Stalkers, and other units with the help of Phase Prisms.

o come on it was a joke i don't think anybody would ever get enough money to mind control a SCV and crank out thors and motherships.

maybe in a money map where the other player has no idea what to do.
