If WC didn't happen, then Orcs in Space wouldn't have happened. And w/o SC of course there would be no SC2. But he's talking about popularity. Lets say SC was a complete flop I think Blizzard would TRY to redeem themselves with a sequel to SC regardless.

In literal terms or w/e, SC2 can't be an original game, as you cannot make a sequel without a predecessor to your sequel.

(I probably have no idea what I'm talking about.)
