| Mothership: Super No more Quote: |
Motherships, a Protoss super unit, have been altered in significant ways. They're still powerful units, but they no longer have the black hole attack which, if you've seen the footage from this past May's Worldwide Invitation, was incredibly powerful. They also don't seem to have the ability to create a missile blocking field around them. Instead, they use a cloak field, something we didn't find all so useful once we'd already moved them directly over a Terran base and were getting nailed with anti-air missiles. They also are no longer capable of attacking air units, though they possess an extremely effective laser barrage against those who reside on the ground. To balance this, it's now possible to have multiple motherships out on the field of battle.

From what I hear from the gamers who have been lucky enough to play the game (I wish they die and I can reap their souls of the knowledge they posses), The replacement for the Arbiter, the Star Relic itself has been replaced( with the Stasis Orb now which slows down units), and it no longer has a cloak field, which now I guess Ign informs us that the Mothership the Arbiters cloaking ability and a blocking ability and the illusion ability borrowed from the high templar.
Interesting. |

| Black hole was removed. I'm impressed by their momentary insight, in removing that piece of **** rigged ability.
One penis up.

As of Blizz Con 2007, the Mothership itself costs 300 minerals, 500 gas and 8 unit supply. In addition, its two separate upgrades costs 300 minerals and 300 gas each; totaling 1000 minerals and gas.
| way too expensive for me.

| I would refuse to use it on the grounds that it's rigged.

| And these grounds are based on the hours of playtime you have invested into the game, or on the fact you read about it and assume it is? |

| Super units will always be rigged, or underpowered.

| War3. Heroes are 'super units' in their own right, and are essential to strategy.

| I'm sure P's will still find a way to make the MS work. And the fact you can build more than one will be sweet. They still have time bomb and planetary cracker or whatever. I've seen a video of some korean using them and they were kick ass.
In that video, the MS sounds a lot like the dark templar matriarch.(can't spell her name for the life of me)
Carr/MS/Phoenix is gonna be sick.
