i been wondering. will Terran still fight against Protoss or will it be that the factions are split of in two? and vice versa

Didn't you see the Protoss gameplay video? The speaker says 'we will see Terrans and Protoss entering in epic battles'. I have played SC&BW too long ago, I remember some stones Artanis took, a film with Infested Kerrigan, Zerathul went to his planet or smth like that... but Terran an Protoss were friends, I don't care much as I won't focus on the campaigns, I will focus on bnet :>

Terran Dominion is definitely against protoss as were the UED. IF the UED returns in some sense (I doubt that Earth would lie low after it's main fleet was eradicated) They weren't Protoss friendly. Rayner and his rouge groups would ally themselves with the protoss, however Rayner and Zeratul disappeared so who know. They will return however.

the only time the UED, Protoss and the Terran dominion ever even thought of teaming up was that final Zerg mission, where they were all beaten badly. Otherwise it was war between all three for power over the sector.

I could remember the last movie being a letter from Admiral DuGalle to his wife.

I'm pretty sure the UED knows what radio transmissions are, and I'm pretty sure they have something much more advanced that allows for interstellar communication (otherwise, they wouldn't have known anything about the Koprolu sector, and wouldn't have sent any UED fleet).

I'm pretty sure Earth knows about the fleet's failure.

They did say that the reason the UED was even in the Koprolu was becasue they had been monitoring the Koprolu sector since the original prisoners had been awaken there. If they were able to monitor them and discover aliens had arrived, I'm sure they at least know the UED was destroyed.

It is possible that the last message "none of the ships made it back to earth to report what had happened is more an emphasis on how badly they were beaten and wiped out.

but in a SCII interview:
""the UED terran forces were destroyed by Kerrigan's Zerg armies (though a few surviving companies may still be around somewhere)," and that the Terran faction in Starcraft II will primarily consist of the "evil empire" of the Terran Dominion."

Raynor will hopefully make good on his promise and kill Kerrigan.
Also, the protoss will retake Aiur. They need some good news after what they've been through. That's what I love about toss. They continue the good fight after all that's been done to them. Fight to the bitter end.

Kerrigan kills Zeratul.

Daggoth kills Fenix who protected Artanis and Zeratul; they flees in Aiur but Kerrigan attacked trough the t-strom and Zeratul, to protect the life of Artanis fight hardly for more than 6 frame rates and then finally die.

Jimmy kills all the bad guys and Universe is save.
