Heros

IF a new SC came out would you want heros? IF yes please tell what hero and what ablilties would be cool.

Vulture hero with auras with speed auras would be cool.

Like I've always said, I supported the hero's idea. However, nothing like the WC3 build.

After a unit gets so many kills it adds +1 damage, or +1 armor. OR something along those lines. OR After so many kills you can rename your unit. Nothing big, but something to show that unit has stayed alive through some battles.

I don't like how they did that, giving specific units ranks and stuff. Seriously, I think the SC2 framework is fine. In terms of Starcraft, heroes should be kept to single player.

Heroes are great for WCIII because you have spells and auras and shit, which don't really translate as well to a space atmosphere. If it was C&Cish, it could probably get away with units like Tanya or Boris from Red Alert, a hero with no levels and you can really only build one but is worth it.

starcraft two would probably have a slower pace due to its 3D graphics. It would make more sense for a slower paced game to have heros than a really fast paced version like the current sc.

heroes with a bfme2 (battle for middle earth 2) build would probly have an OK chance to make SC standards

Heroes are fine in Warcraft III, but really just seems to make the game more random; maybe if there weren't any items?

I think if they make a Starcraft II, it'll be geared more for the hardcore competitive community.

Items don't give a major edge in WCIII, and half of items are strategically buying/selling items at the mercs.

Well I've never played Warcraft III competitively in leagues, but I've always heard they make the gameplay much more random in nail biting games.

Well the main thing with that is most of the items you buy anyways, even the ones dropped by creeps are so common that anyone has the chance of getting them. Low level items are mostly sold by the good players. It's high level item drops which would screw up a game for some people, but that is a matter of going after Red level 6+ creeps, which in itself is a risk and should be handled strategically.
