Nagalisk Calling

[Final Warrior]

*Leo covers the back of Simon as he runs all-out to the dropship. Yuri primes an incindiary grenade, tossing it into the midst of Nagalisk Titans nearby the ship. The Titans light on fire, coated in napalm, screeching and screaming, running through the other Nagalisks. Leo unloads the rest of his rifle's magazine, launches a bio-can from the grenade launcher, unleashing a cloud of toxins behind them, killing off persuing Nagalisks. Leo grabs his rifle by the sight-scope in his left hand, drawing out a pistol. He fires off rounds around Simon, blowing fist-sized holes into the Nagalisk.*

Simon: Damn, sir! I need to get me one of those!

Leo: Shut up and keep running.

*Just as Leo and the others step onto the dropship ramp, the Nagalisk break through the fighting lines, headed straight for the dropship.*

Leo: Sh*t, sh*t, sh*t!

*Yuri says nothing but instead, pulls out a remote detonator. He activates it, blasting apart a bunch of Nagalisks.*

Leo: What the-?

Yuri: No-dachi remote landmines.

*Just about then, the rest of the squad pile into the dropship, which commences lift off.*

Leo: Everyone okay?

Simon: well...im in one peice arent I?

Dexter is on a stretcher on the dropship floor unconcious

Simon: well... lets get outta this hell hole

[Final Warrior]

*Leo radioes in the situation to FLEETCOM.*

Leo: FLEETCOM, this is Squad Leader of the DREAM MAKERs. Requesting for a battleship to pull us te hell outta here.*

*On the other end, Commander Geans replies.*

Commander Geans: []Retreating? This isn't what you were made to do!

Leo: [i]Sir, there are enough Nagalisk forces to destroy anything down here or up there. We have the weapon. We should evac, pull out the rest, and blast the planet.[i/]

Commadner Geans: You're not around to make executive commands. We'll pull you out, everything else we'll take care of.

*Overhead, the dull roar of an Oblivion-class Gigas battle cruiser deafens everyone. Above the battle, in the skies, a gigantic eye materializes.*

Simon: Holy-!

Leo: What?

Tex *Squad radio*: They deployed the Hyperion. Why? So soon? And why weren't we alerted?

Leo: Need-to-know-basis.

Simon: What is that thing?

Leo: The Hyperion, first of its kind, best of our battlecruisers. Enough firepower in that thing to tear apart a medium-sized planet. We're going to need it if we're ever going to defeat the Nagalisk.

Simon: Pretty big.

Leo: It get's bigger. That's the plasma beam emitter. And that *points at the bag that Simon is holding onto* is the main cannon drive.

Simon: *Looks at the bag* Holy-1

*From the side of the eye emits a large beam, into the midst of the Nagalisk. The Nagalisk aliens float high over the ground, weapons inert. A second beam is fired into the midst of many ships, carrying them high and up.*

Leo: Tractor beams. We're going home.

Kate: Finally.

OOC: I might boost the storyline ahead by a few months for an early finish to te story. MIGHT.

*A large beam emits

the dropship reaches the docking bay and they disembark

Simon walks out in a daze while carrying the package

Simon: well...we'll have to get this thing installed into the system

Simon walks around while leaving the bag with Leo

he reaches the bar and sits on a stool and starts to drink whiskey shots down.

[Final Warrior]

*Leo takes the litle bag and heads off to the command room. He gives the bag to the Head Technician, who begins to run diagnostics on the weapon. Soon, it is refined and made better and more effective, and then equipped on to the Hyperion. At the same time, new weapons are developed for the Gears.*

Rail Gun: Using a series of powerful magnetic particle accelerators, this cannon can launch a solid metal object at hypervelocities, capable of piercing even the toughest Nagalisk armor. This weapon is available to all Gear types, although the lighter the Gear, the lighter the Gun, the weaker it is.

Energy Gatling Gun: Using six rotating barrels and a scaled-down version of the plasma beam emitter, this gatling gun is able to fire large amounts of superheated plasma at rates up to a maximum of 6000 RPM (rounds per minute). This weapon is available only to medium and heavier Gears.

*Seven months have passed. Leo's squad has had many victories against the Nagalisk. However, even with the new weapons and tactics for the battlecruisers, the space war is one that is being lost. Although Leo can conquer the ground, he and his squad are entirely useless unless the space cruisers can beat off the Nagalisk ships. New advancements have been made, though, in both infantry armor, ground support tactics and tech, and in the battlecruisers.*

Simon wakes up in his room on the Hyperion and sits up tracing the scars on his upper body that he received from the 7 months of battle.

Simon: hmm... i wonder if anyone is awake now...

Simon gets up and puts his casual slacks on and walks out of his room and down the corridors of the battlecruiser and sits at a table in the cafe. He looks around slowly, scanning the horizons of the massive battlecruiser

[Final Warrior]

*Leo walks into the cafe within the ship. He spots Simon sitting down and surveying the room.*

Leo: First day on the ship and you find your way to the cafe. I thought you'd be in the bar.

Simon: Not a good way to start the day.

Leo: It seems so.

Simon: Man... what's our status?

Leo: Technically, we're on leave. But in actuality, we're being relocated to the Hyperion Omega-class battlecruiser for a top secret mission.

Simon: Which is?

Leo: So top secret even your father doesn't know.

Simon: Damn! I thought he was one of the top.

Leo: Yeah, but he doesn't have clearance ANGEL/0A.

Simon: Who does?

Leo: No idea. I think it's a group of people actually, each with parts of the clear-code. No one person has all of it, so that no one person can compromise anything else. That way, if one person talks, we don't fall apart instantaneously.

Simon: 'Kay.

Leo: Let's see... ah yes. All of us rank Lieutenant or higher. We, all of us, have every single damn medal a soldier can get, excluding the Prisioner of War. With our new Mark XI suits being issued to us today, and our even better Gear Type 4s, we'll probably be bringing the fight to the Nagalisk, and not the other way around.

Simon: Finally!

Leo: Of course, if you'd read the briefing, you'd have known this a long, long time ago.

*Kate walks into the cafe with Divina.*

kate: Heya boys. Watcha up to?

Leo: I've been briefing Simon on our situation. Apparently he didn't read the briefing.

Simon smiles and puts his hands behind his head

Simon: heh you know me i dont like breifings.

Simon stares up at the ceiling

Simon: anyway...hows it goin Kate

[Final Warrior]

Kate: It's good. It'd be better if Command wasn't pushing us so hard.

Leo: It's is a soldier's duty to obey those that command him.

Kate: It's easier for you. You're a soldier, born and bred. I;m... well, I'm a woman

Leo: And that makes a difference? Women are usually better then men. At least you're not a rookie.

Simon: Break it up you two... we're supposed to be on "leave," remember?

Kate: *Giggles.*

Leo: Breakfast.

*A bell is heard dinging, as the mess hall doors open.*

Simon: Finally. I'm famished.

Leo: You should be, after the game we played last night.

*Simon recalls the "game" that the DREAM MAKERS plaed. They ran through the forests with minimal survival gear, playing a game of hide-and-seek with veteran Marines for a test, to try out their reflexes. Then they were starved, and trained some greenhorns. It was so late after the team finished that no one had food. Coupled with that was their recent mission that they had just finished, which required a week's fasting.*

Simon: mhm what do you guys want? ill get it for ya.

Simon sits up anxiously grinning a little.

Simon: come on out with it before i faint from hunger

[Final Warrior]

Kate: Divina and I'll have whatever Leo's having.

Leo: Bacon and Eggs. Orange Juice. Milk. Cereal. Apple. Grapefruit. French toast, five slices. Pancakes, stack of thirty. A jug of maple syrup.

Kate: On second thought, I'll have three pancakes and milk.

Divina: Cereal and Orange Juice.

Simon nods and comes back a few minutes later with their orders and sets them down at each's places. he himself had ordered a large meal like Leo but not as large.

Simon: heh...sometimes i wish it was like this everyday when we can all sit down like this together.

Leo: indeed

Simon digs into his bacon and eggs then finishes his 10 pancakes slowly.

Simon: this war is pointless... i know you people think im crazy for saying that but its true its pointless

[Final Warrior]

Leo: ... Would you rather die by the hands of an incomprehensible alien force bent on our destruction?

*Continues to eat, then stops.*

Leo: But then again... it is pointless... from a philsophical point of view... are they not superior to us? Are they not capable of wiping us out easily? Then why fight? Why not let them kill us off?

Simon shakes his head and then combs his fingers through his blonde hair

Simon: i do not wish to die a civilian death. i was born on the battlefeild, i will die on the battlefeild. Nagalisks may be superior, but look at us; we are all veterans of war and im the youngest one on the team. but back to the previous subject, does this mean that DREAM MAKER is disbanded or just underground?

[Final Warrior]

Leo: Our squad status is listed as "Recalled for Undisclosed Reasons". We're in transport to a Nagalisk held planet, along with a team of crack Marines and specialists. And a bunch of Psionics.

Simon: Taking the fight to the Nagalisk. All right!

Simon: so now that i know that, im goin to the target range.

Simon stands up and he is halfway down the hallway when he collapses. his conciousness wavers, he hits the ground hard and his world goes black

Tex: Lro, Simon just hit the deck, hard.

Leo: Goddamn... someone needs to get that kid off the booze.

*Leo walks into the hallway where Simon has collapsed. He piks him up and carries the unconcious Simon to the Infirmary.*

Simon wakes up in an infirmary bed

Simon: gah...bit too much to drink...

Doctor: ...he shows signs of liver poisoning

Leo: damnit that kid drinks too much

Doctor: keep him away from alchoal products for a month or two

[Final Warrior]

Leo: You heard the doc... now c'mon, let's go to the range. Or are you just too drunk and hungover?

*Leo walks out of the infirmary, headed towards the shooting range.*

Simon grins weakly then rises out of the infirmary bed then suits up and goes to the shooting range

Simon picks out an old Barette sniper rifle

Leo: whats this? machine gun boy going sniper?

Simon: if i want to live i cant have a hangover at close range. im trying something new

Simon aims the barette carefully and fires taking off the target's head completely from 300 metres

Simon: bullseye
