melodic metal
dream theatre, symphony x, children of bodom and kalmah.

kalmah was the best IMO.

are there any other melodic metal bands? i dont know any except for those 4.

uhm is nightwish considered to be a melodic metal band? anyway i love nightwish. amaranth is just an awesome song.

I think nightwish might be considered melodic metal. They are pretty good.

^ its been only a couple month since i discovered them randomly on youtube. now i got 30 plus of their songs.

im planning to get all instrumental version of nightwish songs for my custom warcraft 3 game coz their opening part and instrumentals sounds great.
