Content Manager Policy

BattleForums.com is looking for dedicated members to assist in managing the content of our various forums. We are going to accept a maximum of one Content Manager per forum; we may not select a manager for each forum. You may manage multiple forums.

The following forums are open to management:

  • Starcraft 2
  • Starcraft Classic
  • Starcraft Strategies and Replays
  • Starcraft Maps and Modifications
  • Starcraft Hacking
  • World of Warcraft
  • Warcraft I, II, and III
  • Warcraft Strategies and Replays
  • Warcraft Maps and Modifications
  • Diablo I and II
  • Diablo Strategies
  • Diablo 3
  • Diablo Modifications
  • Diablo Hacking
  • General Gaming
  • Console Gaming
  • The Artist Outlet
  • Roleplayer's Realm
  • Graphic Design
  • Literature Haven

The members who are chosen for this position will be granted limited moderation abilities within their respective forum as well as access to a private forum for Content Managers and other staff members.

The responsibilities of Content Managers include:

  • Content Managers should frequently encourage member participation in their forum, both by posting in existing threads and starting new ones.
  • Management of the stickied threads. The Content Manager would be required to make sure all of the stickied threads are informative and up-to-date.
  • Content Managers will have significant control on the overall direction of their forum.
  • Content Managers will have to assist in the management of forum-specific contests.
  • Creation of forum-specified articles. For example, we may ask you to create "how-to" tutorials which we will then publish through our upcoming content management system.

A forum member, Tipsy, said it best:

Both in theory and practice, the best way to motivate people is to give them a stake in their innovation and give them the freedom to follow their ideas as they see fit. Following this line of thinking, a decentralization of control of bringing content in rather than centralized control will foster more content.

We are looking for members who meet the following requirements:

  • Have been a member of BattleForums for more than three months.
  • Have a solid understanding of the English language. The content you manage will have to be error free, within reason.
  • Most importantly, you must be proactive.

Here's your chance. Show your support for BattleForums firsthand by helping us to move it forward!
