Yeah. If it did, the numbers for say, the top 5 people on the Richest lists would be a lot different.
You also pobably don't have enough gil to compete with the other members to actually get a spot on the list regardless if you have points in the bank or not. You need to get more then the person in 10th or whatever the last place is then you will take his/her spot.
