| Text color in browsers Ok, so I changed my Text Color to Gray in my signature. When my friends se eme post in Internet Explorer, the text is Green, not Gray. Dark Gray = Red in IE, and Darkgray = Pruple in IE. Can someone tell me how I might fix this? |

| Use hexadecimal? I don't really know why colour constants like that change.
Grey = #808080 (mid-grey) http://www.geocities.com/arntrabu/colours2.html
To help you with hexadecimal.

| Hexadecimal is a way of ensuring that you can use all 16,777,216 colours in the pallete. Basically for grey, all the values for RGB are the same so you throw them into the thing I gave you and get the hexadecimal.
Then just replace 'gray' with the hashed value (say, #505050) and check.
It ensures that the colour works with all browsers.

| OK. I'll leave it open though in case anyone has any idea about colour constant varying through browsers.

Same here, but in IE it's some fruity green color, like the WC3 Green they use on the site. It annoys me. I tried 2 other colors:
Dark Gray = white in Firefox (I think) and red in IE.
darkgray = Dunno in Firefox, probably white. And in IE it's some purple color.
EDIT: It's gray in IE now, yay! I guess you can close this now, seeing as it's fixed somehow. Whoever fixed it, thanks much.

| I think I might know why..... IE interprets grey as incorrect, and in hexadecimal, it takes XXEX where X is ignored. This means it becomes 00E0(00) as your colour, light green as you said.
Stupid IE.

| and it does this becuause of bad coding. Vb3 would fix these stupid little problems by putting quotes around values like "dark green" and "00E000". GoGo standart compiant sites!!! |

| Firefox > IE I'll admit. But Firefox has some stuff I also don't like. I want Dark Themes god damnit.
Anyways, it's coming up as Gray in both now, so I dunno. I did Italics on my quote, maybe that changed it. I dunno. |
