| Browsing BF with IE I'm starting to get frustrated, I have to use OPERA to browse BF all the time, because BF tries to download itself whenever I go to a link on IE. It won't load the page, but it will give me the download popup.

| It's not a matter of which is better, its a matter of just ease.

| Hm, did you check your computer for spyware, that may be the case of the whole situation... If not Tweak, try to repair Internet Explorer in Add/Remove programs... If that doesn't work, go to microsoft.com and see if ya can find the download for it...

| no its a matter of performance and functionability.
Mozilla FireFox .9 is godly compared to IE . IE is over 3 years old and doesnt not fully support the industry standards.
example: when using div's IE does not correctly display border, margin and width. instead they decided to use thier own version which means when creating a xhtml layout (NO TABLES) you have to code for IE... this is known as the [url=http://www.tantek.com/CSS/Examples/boxmodelhack.html]BOX MODEL HACK[/b]
ease of use: Mozilla also has plugins you can install to customise it to your need: for example... i installed a time plugin that displays the time in the lower right hand corner of my browser. very efficient if you ask me.
ease of use: if your use to IE, mozilla firefox is not much harder getting used to. same general layout and eveyrthing.
its really a shame. |

If you don't want to turn that off then just click 'open' on that pop-up. |

| Sakuhta, wrongo. As for opening? Tried that, it does something funkey, which does not involve opening BF.
Sicloan: I meant more as the fact that, IE is just there... I just click on it, because it doesn't have fancy shit, it loads faster, and it's already there. If I didn't want that, I would have switched to Opera a long time ago.

| LOL sicloan there is a new thing to this world, dono if you've ever heard of it, but it's called updates. IE has been updated within I think 2-3 months, it's now IE 6, with a SP2. Mozilla is crap in my opinion. |

| You use XP, right? Find the Folder Options in any folder > Tools > Folder options > File Types and then scroll down to HTML document. Print Screen what you see - I need more info.
