Greetings

I am known as Nuts, I'll leave it to your imagination or lack thereof to determine the meaning behind my screen name. I come to you from several forums, one of which is your evil wicked competitor, Blizzforums. You will find me frequenting your equivalent to Serious Discussion known as The Arcane Sanctuary. I will continue to visit that forum until the point in which I either become incredibly bored or I get arrgravated, whichever comes first.

A few questions for the nice people here at BattleForums.

Am I to believe that Battleforums is owned and operated by Infospot & Wizgoto.com as is posted on the bottom of this forum? And if this is true, which Administrator claims ownership of the domain?

Secondly, this forum would do nicely with a Vb3 upgrade, any reason why it hasn't been done yet?

Till later....

welcome!

battleforums has not been upgrated to vB3 because vB3 hasnt had a final release yet. and its sketchy. We have had server issues over the past few months and we lost alot of our hacks / addons due to crashes. We are at a stable point right now, which means we souldnt be upgrading until a final release is out.

Im not sure which host BF is on, but the owner of the site is ChrisUK, whom checks in every once in a while. He owns the site domains and pays for the hosting.

The current owner of BF is chrisuk.

It appears that vB3 doesn't have skin support, otherwise BlizzForums Lite would have been available, right?

Welcome, anyway. Cookie?

Skin support is readily available for Vb3, depending on your skin provider. This forum seems to have much downtime, perhaps there are too many hacks.

we have hardly any hacks installed. the reason it is down is server maintainance. nothing we can do about it. and yes vb3 does have skin support, but its alot harder for change for new people. although i do like the look of vB3... its still in the testing phase, which means we probably wont use it until vb3 final is released.

Server maintainance? Perhaps a new server would solve these ills? The downtime on this site is really extensive compared to others. I'm guessing there's a deeper problem than simply server maintainance.

Anyway, who does this mysterious "server maintainance?" And to what ends?

Pardon me if I'm being too forward, but my experience in Vb has never led me to require such extensive maintainance for any reason.

It says we're on v2.2.8 but I think we're actually on something more recent than that. Not v3 though.

It's been most entertaining reading your posts in AS. You may see me post some times but mostly I just read. As I said, watching everyone bicker is most entertaining.

I'm a nice guy when I'm not posting in AS or B.F.'s equal, S.D.

Thanks for the warm welcome.

Our current vB is 2.3.4, the newest build for vB 2.

If skin support is available, where is BlizzForums Lite?

Server maintenance..... Not a new server, Chris just upgraded it. The only new thing that's been modified are our GameSites200 links, which have been hacked, and hours of downtime just to remove those makes me think Chris is not telling us something.
