Its been brought to my attention..

Its been brought to my attention that most people on these forums are not techo-geeks, like myself.

However, you can only go so far. People making there posts in the Starcraft Map Making section or people asking for Starcraft help never, never, never, include there operating system!

A note to the technologically challenged: An operating system is the software your computer runs to show "windows" and "folders". The most popular operating system is Windows (Microsoft) and Mac[intosh] (Apple, the maker of iPods).

So this is my petition to get everybody to put there operating system in there signature, because I am tired of guessing it.

Of course, there is a down-side to every idea... So please, if you see any problems with my idea, let me know by reply or PM.

I dont think every one is going to put their os in their sigs. We like our sigs and want them to be original, just ask them what it is, hey it will be a +1 every time so whats the problem??

Just assume that 90% of the people here use Windows XP while the other 10% is split between Linux and Mac. That should save a lot of trouble.

Every-time I guess I guess wrong, and I do not want to type all 3 solutions.

Alright, thats ok. I just made a keyboard shortcut for "What operating system do you use? + return", so it should be ok.

Thanks for the help!

... No. There is already a 10 line limit for signatures and a character limit.

As Samsara said, assume that everyone has Windows XP, which is quite a large chunk of the market. The secondary option is Windows 98SE.

In any case, it takes just 1 extra post to find out what OS the person is using.*
