* just been fantasizing about this for a while, I don't know how it will work out *

The chair was rigid and so was everyone in the class. Mrs. Bonwill strode the length of the portable classrom, her ugly features popping out. Sunken in eyes, a jutting brow line, crooked teeth, big flat feet, and an attention grabbing voice. She was no image of the imagination. Just a denizen of school.
Some goof-offs in the back made flatulating noises, amid giggles from the class. Everyone opened their textbooks, the pages turning, slowly and never-ending. The morning wore on.
On and on this same bore wore on, no creative or independant thoughts voiced. No creativity shown. It was cold, the seats were plastic, and there was nothing to do but read from a 10 year old textbook.
Lunch came, finally. The class rose, happy that they could escape the stifling classroom. Everyone sat down at little picnic tables, blue and white ones dotting the cold asphalt. The wind picked up and brought a gust of cold air, blowing many brown paper bags about. At the corner table, the rejects sat.
" Yeah man, so Drizzt escapes from Baenre! Yeah, they all do, " one lanky boy was explaining. He was 13 years old, tired and bored.
" Rory, I gotta break it to you. Entreri's way cooler. He's all suave, " piped in Ken, Rory's friend. They both had moved to a new school, their old one had broken off at 6th grade and they were in 7th now. They sat, discussing their books when another guy interuppted.
" Dude, this stuff is crazy. I'm feelin' better off of this. Check it out, " he said as he tilted back a small canister, roughly the size of a pepper shaker. Strange, orange crystals tumbled out. They looked like orange salt crystals, small and clear. Rory leaned away.
" Just try it man. It's weird! It gives you like a boost, " he explained but Rory still didn't touch it. Ken, on the other hand, licked his finger and dabbed into the powder, sticking it to his hand and he quickly licked it. Ken sputtered.
" What is that stuff, " he asked incredoulusly while coughing. His head rocked forward and he quickly shook it as if clearing his thoughts. The stuff had an effect, Rory noted.
" Ha ha, first time huh, " the guy nodded sagely, " It's Limkis. Makes your head spin and comin' back for more. This is my 3rd can this week and i've been trippin' on it during class when it gets boring. I can buy some for you if you like, " he asked sincerely. His eyes were big, the pupils small, and his hand was tapping the table.
The bell rang.
" Hey dude, where did you get this stuff, " Rory asked as they walked back to class.
" Oh dude, I got it from the other side of town at the corner licqour store. Try some out. It's always nice to have someone new break into the scene, " he added as he walked away yelling over the din of walking people.
What IS this stuff? Ken was already telling Rory how much that stuff made him feel all whacked out. The enterprising Rory pondered this as he drifted into the crowd.
***
A little hop onto his seat brought Rory onto his bike, his backpack emptied and his pocket brimming with quarters. This stuff shouldn't be much, he thought as he pedaled down his street, turning a left towards where the licquor store was. It was cold out and Rory tightened his hood, leaving his ears warm and protected from the chill.
He parked his bike on the side of the store, chaining it and locking it up against a telephone pole. A two note chime sounded as he walked through the threshold to the convenience store, candy to his left and the side of the cashier's aisle to his right. He went up to the asian man.
" Uh, do you guys have Lipkis? Err, wait Limkis here, " Rory asked emberassingly. His first mishap brought a smile to the middleaged man.
" Ah yes, down the last aisle by the refrigerators of pop, " he said kindly. Rory walked down to the aisle and saw the canisters immediatly. 25 cents each, he saw. He grabbed 8 canisters and brought them to the register where he counted out his quarters and left. The ride back was uneventful.
Rory repacked all his school supplies back into his backpack and left in 3 canisters, storing the other 5 on his bookshelf.
The next morning he hopped onto the bus and sat in the front with the younger kids. Looming white-stuccoed buildings loomed ahead and the bus turned left into the small school. He saw the grovely Limkis guy standing around infront, choking down the awful powder, looking towards the buses dreamily. Rory got off.
" Hey man, " Rory called as he cought up to the grimy guy, flashing his Limkis and flashing a grin. All he could do in reply was smilke weekly, his eyes suddenly flashing and he became shaky.
" Whoa. That's the fresh stuff. How much you want for it, " he asked. Rory knew that the guy was desperate. His canister was already out and he had a whole day to go without anything if he didn't buy it. His hand tapped against the lightpost, he bit his fingernails, and asked again.
" Well, two bucks. No lower, " the shrewd Rory replied. Guy, the grimy one, scoffed aloud and laughed.
" Dude, I'm not buying a quarter for two bucks. Who do you think you are, " he pursued. Guy felt annoyed. He needed the boost, the stuff was fresh, and he was overcharging him. What could he do? With a growl, Guy muttered.
" Whatever. Here's your money, " he cursed and shoved a crumpled up dollar and 2 quarters and random dimes into Rory's outstretched hand. Rory smiled slyly.
" Anything for you, Guy, " he said, patronizing him well. Guy ripped of the plastic top, flicked the side a few times, then tipped some crystals into his hand, quickly licking them and savoring it. His eyes closed and he smiled drunkingly, swayed, and stumbled, leaning against the post.
The bell rang.
Rory sat in class, fingering the money in his pocket. He'd bring out a quarter, spin it on it's side, and catch it. Why bother reading about Rome when he had his money. At lunch, he told Ken about Limkis and he was obviously interested.
" Man that stuff get's you all wired. I felt like bugs walkin' on my skin. F*ckin' good stuff, " he added, draining his juice box. Ken better not get involved with this sh*t. He already saw Guy's metamorphesis of turning from a regular kid to a slovenly sewer rat. And this was between a span of 3 months.
Rory feared for his friend

I'll stop there for now. Please make any comments, I don't care. I made it slow for the beginning, but It will pick up, I promise!
Added: I put 4 spaces before each paragraph to indent, but it didn't show in the final product. I know it's annoying, but what can ya do?
