I wouldn't dare call this art but I agree with you, I wouldn't call most acclaimed "art" art.
I'm not much of a fan of modern art, but the real art scene is on the streets... graffiti.
this is my latest work. it's actually a solid stone, the colours are illusions made by the way i chiseled the rock with a spork. it's really just series of weird markings if you don't see it in the right light and right angle.
