need help as monk

I have been trying to no avail to beat the doppleganger as a Monk/Mesmer. How in the **** do I win this battle. I have tried so many times, that I am almost ready to quit. I am a healing monk. any help will be appreciated.

Don't bring your healing spells or the Mirror Image will spam them like crazy.

u need to fill up your skill bar with skills that'll help both of u instead of just him. don't load any healing spells, try to get lots of spells that have 3-4 second casting cost and then have power strike to hurt them when they are casting a spell.

the doppleganger quest is basically a test of how much skill u have against someone who is the same as u.

Easiest way -- Disable everything on your bar.

This gives them nothing to use other than melee attack. And if you go into the battle with 0 in the skill needed to use your weapon, it tacks that to them. Or used to. Then, midbattle, change your attribute up to whatever you need to use the weapon + some. You'll do massive damage to your clone compared to the clone doing dmg to you, and after a few minutes youll win. That or just be a shutdowner. Use empathy, buncha energy stealing skills, and have no healing on. You shoudl be able to take out all the energy the clone has, and kill it before it regens 5.

Rofl, i beat him in 21 seconds,( but that was with a monk warriror ) run in there with healing breeze.. but what sucks about you being mesmer is that you can wield anything powerful, so its going to be hell..

It does a flat rate of dmg, well it varies, but any attr. you have dosent affect anything, and it doesent matter if you have a shitty wepon and pull out a good one, you need to do more dmg, with you being a w/me youll prolly need conjure phant.... if that dosent work, watch what spells eh uses, just make sure, only healing spell is breeze, if your up in his face, ( his chaos axe ) he WONT use it.

First and foremost, people have been saying that your clone does not use healing breeze. I have tried this a couple times and is infact kind of true. I have not seen, so far in around 10 times trying it, the clone use healing breeze. If you cannot stay alive, use healing breeze and do what other people mentioned.

I also said "Or it used to." -- The game changes daily, and I beat the clone a while back, when that actually worked. I havnt foughten one since then, therefore I put the "Or it used to." on there.

W/Me, just use backfire, then conj phant, then empahty, then conj phant. Should be dead by then.
