Couner-Strike : Pro.
Whom ever hates CS  well your ****ed... Lately ive been hearing talk about how CS was pretty much a failure, and suprised by all the 1.6 players so there thinking about killing 1.6 and makeing 1.6 and source together to make new revinue... whom ever already got CS Good news, you dont need to buy anythign just an upgrade..  :angry

| Ahhhh yes, i just finished reading this article on Got Frag. It sounds like a really good idea, combining the source engine with the 1.6 dynamics, a winning combo, graphics and finesse, now just for those people there finding to actualy make it...

| So if they combine CS and CS 1.6, what will happen to all of the 1.6 players out there like me? Will I be forced to buy HL2 for the cd-key in order to play CS or is it just a combination that would take the best of both worlds and combine yet leaving a place where regular CS'ers can play?
Also, could someone maybe post a link or something to an article discussing this? Thanks in advance.

| I think it's a very bad idea, I like my 1.6 the way it is, and besides I've got too shitty of an old comp to run Source.

| I don't know why they'd make a separate mod called CS: Pro. If it works, make it CS: Source. Add 1.6 dynamics to CS: Source to make it a better, more counter-strike(ish) game. Cutting CS 1.6 altogether sounds like a devilish thing to do, though. People without great computers would be forced to stop playing CS and play something like... something else. Ouch. No one wants to do that. | |

| Hello fellow Counterstrike Players, I have a question about the wally's spray maker, how do I put the spray on Counterstrike anyways? I don't understand how it quite works so If you could help me that would be great thanks.

| Napoleon, check your thread about that, i replied to it. And dont spam other boards with your question....
but yes, scrapping 1.6 for source is a veyr bad idea. Not only is it still bug ridden, like spawning with 16000$ randomly, but the graphical requiermants to make it PLAYABLE are pretty high. I mean whats the average FPS of source gamers, the COMMON source players? maybe 50? and the FPS of common 1.6 players? 80 or 90? that extra boost of 30 FPS makes the game more enjoyable.

| meh, i still have my errrrr non bootlegged copy of source *whistles and looks around suspiciously* i play bots only with my friend on lan to make music videos, thats about all i use it for, other then that im a 1.6 lover at heart.

I got some company making new mod called Pro, they said nothing about what you told me, they said they were makin mod for people to use... freeware I guess, and they were like "OH NOES WE DONT WANT TO SEPERATE THE CS COMUNITY TO CS 1.6 AND CS SORCE AND CS PRO!!! THATS WHY WE'RE MAKIN IT!"
