It was meant to be an arcade-like game.....

Beat both, Ultra-Violence, no cheats. ****, that was hard.

I could never do Nightmare though. Settled for running through everywhere, grabbing any items in my path of running. Never got past level 3 though. *

I always thought they made nightmare so that you had something to play mplayer with others on i mean, why waste your time on anything less than that unless your playing deathmatch?

We never played Doom at school via multiplayer. It wasn't allowed.

And I got my first modem after Doom came out. *hint hint**

I have Doom 2.

Best level: Play Refueling Station (the one with 233 monsters) on Ultra Violent or Nightmare mode!! Best fun you'll ever have playing classics ^_^

I loved the end boss battle on Doom 2. I'd purposefully keep from attacking the head thingy just to slaughter all the spawned demons - then when you are start to run out of Invincibility Orbs and ammo, and bodies litter the ground, that is classic.

Using noclip, you find out that huge face final boss is really John Romero's head on a stick. You can then chainsaw it to death since the enemies cannot target you.

I remember the good ol' days of Doom. I would play so much my eyes couldn't focus and I would throw-up if I moved too much or saw bright lights. lol

Yes!!

I was wondering all the time why I would get SO sick, VERY hot, sweaty, and VERY nervous while playing this games.

Is that really a bad thing though? What if I pass out? At least I'm in a chair???

;-(

P.S. This usually only happens when I play 1st person shooters. =\

I'll get UBER pissed if I get sick playing SCG. lol

Try dueling your friend in Level 8 with nothing but cheap powerups and Mancubises all over the top parts. A truly death defying experience.

I never had Doom 1 or 2 (though I got the ROM for SNES) I wasn't to interested in the games. But I would like to know does doom 2 have internet support(though I highly doubt it consdiering they were arcade like games)
