Ok ive been all over steams shitty forums without avail. I have this problem of my text not being visible. Form when i start up any game there is no text. Also while in game the text that i tyoe isnt even shown. Can someone please help me?

Don't use any other Steam skins except the default one, that shall fix your problem. (If your using a different steam provided skin.)

Im using the default automatically. But it still doesnt show text. Also if it helps im using a 16 mb 3dfx voodoo3 3000D AGP video card.

Try typing hud_saytext_internal 1 in console.

If that doesn't work, then right-click Counter-Strike from the Games list, click Properties, click Launch Options, and add -noaafonts to the line.
