Favourite oldies

Talking of nostalgia, there will always be games that you're willing to replay again and again just for the sake of memories, particularly some of the older ones.

My favourites:
Grim Fandango - adventure game at its best
Monkey Island series - you just can't get enough of their jokes sometimes - and if MI5 ever comes out, I'll truly believe in gaming miracles then
Fallout 2 - best RPG ever - my ambitions to be a porn star (OMFG!), made man for all families and kill all of them are not achieved yet (but the real reason is the ability to shoot everybody who stands in my way in New Reno without getting arrested)

There's plenty more out there, but some just aren't at the top of my head right now.

fallout 1 and 2 - most replayability I've ever seen in a game
king's quest and quest for glory - I love the old adventure/rpg genre games, especially these two series. King's Quest 6 was the first game I ever bought
myst - another one of the first games I bought, so I've got kind of a sentimental attachment to it, plus it's easy to replay - the puzzles don't change or anything, but it's such a beautifully made environment

Besides the Blizzard games there's not much on the PC. Maybe Dungeon Keeper or possibly Motoracer, but that's about it. On the console though there are a ton of old NES/SNES/N64 games that come to mind. Mario, Zelda, and a lot of the RARE games, and others.

Oh yeah, Sonic on Sega was good. And MadTV. Nearly pointless but strangely addictive.

I'm an absolutely GODLY Raptor in Turok Rage Wars. It's a little-known pure-deathmatch game in the Turok series for N64. So absolutely badass.

I'm seriously lethal as the Raptor. Fast as hell and generally 1-hit kills with headshots. I got so good at timing a jump with a slash, so I can just freaking tear people apart.

If you can see Vadriel as a Raptor, he can see you.
If you can't see Vadriel as a Raptor, there may be claws coming down at your skull right now.

lmao...i bought that game cause i loved the turok series....thinking it was another in the line....i was so pumped the whole day before i got home, that when i finally got home i nearly fell down the stairs....after i grabbed some drinks i went upstairs and popped it in....navigated for a while and was like....wtf wheres the story mode?!? i reloaded it, and looked again "hmm maybe i have to play this crappy mode before i can get story"

so i played and played until my fingers bled and when i finally realized there was no story mode i ran downstairs and slapped my sister for giving me the money to buy that ****ty game

Fallout one and two. Very good.
Have you seen the movie "A boy and his Dog?" Fallout was based a good deal on that movie.
Interesting.
