A) Insect Knight wasn't a staple, but I ran a lot of 4star 1900+ monsters. Archfiend soldier is my main hooker. There were a few others who kicked some ass.

B) How much you need?

C) To the "besides him, insects suck" comment...I think you're forgetting SABER BEETLE!!! leeet. Basically a Dark Driceratops with lower defense.

My deck excelled at bringing out lowcost powerhouses and stopping like, every attack I wasn't making.

Had some pretty leet control in it too. There were only a couple cards I was missing to make it really shine, but I could have them in this.

Yeah, in our Yagic battles they'd all gang up on me cuz I was the biggest threat. Basically 8v1, consecutive turns after all my **** would be exhausted. And even then I still managed to kill one or two of them before I died. =)

Back in the day I'd play pokemon. We'd cheat though, make up our own rules.

You know, the people who come up with TCGs really kinda suck at making rules. Magic was probably the only game we ever played where we stuck fairly close to the original rules.

I remember back when I played Pokemon I had a pretty badass Grass/Psychic control deck. Made everything go to sleep and get poisoned, AND dodged a lot of attacks with my Fossil-edition Haunters.

I quit immediately as soon as A) I had a copy of each of the first 150 pokemon, and B) they released a new set with critters PAST 150. Not just talking Mew either.

Afterthought: you know, isn't it odd that these TCGs all have fairly complex systems that are a bit above the reasonable capabilities of the kids that are obviously being targeted by the cartoony creatures? It's pretty genius of the companies, really. The little kids like to play with them because they have pictures of their favorite critters, and the older kids like to play the actual game for the sake of the battle system.

My best friends Mike and Allen (both 19 and 20) have a total of 21 decks that they've made over the years- and all are quite awesome with lots of staple cards and strategies that are all tournament worthy. All those decks are worth lots of money apeaice as Allen always gets new stuff.

D Hero, water decks, zombies, crystal beast, low level/blue eyes, wind deck, warrior, sky scourage, S.O.B (what they call it ) wrong turn, assault, exodia, cyberdark cant remember the rest .. yeah. Lots.
