| I've played Pokemon and Yu-Gi-Oh!, but nothing else other than MTG. I debated the WoW TCG, but meh.

| I used to play a LOT of YuGiOh with all my highschool buddies. We'd play that and Magic, and we corrupted YuGiOh's rules and **** to make it work a lot like Magic. It was FUN! =) |

| I don't play any TCG other than Magic. The WoW TCG is just a stupid, near rip-off. (Way to go Blizzard). The idea of anime shows getting TCG is a ridiculous concept. So forget that.
And yu-gi-oh is just silly.

| I've played pokemon, wow and magic. I never got into yugioh. It just looked messy.
Pokemon - simple, but couldn't find anyone to play with. I had a pretty good deck. Electabuzz was a beast. 70hp basic, 1st attack 1 energy that might paralyze and a 2nd attack that cost 2 energy that had the potential to do 40 damage... yea he was badass.
Wow - has a great resource system so that you NEVER get land screwed like in MTG. However, the game favors rush WAY to fast. One thing is that there are buch of 2/1s, which in magic is a RARE. Secondly, each attacker can hit whoever they want to, either the hero (which is like the player in wow, as in 0hp = lose) or other monsters. The classes are supposed to add variety to the game, but only about 2 or 3 are actually useful.
Magic - Good game. Can get annoying with rules and such, but it's really well-made game. Only problem is the land screw. If you get 0 or 7 lands as your hand, you will be severely behind as you play. That and playing a lot of formats is expensive... So I suggest playing with theme decks or limited. |

| Haunter... oh that guy's a lil slut. Actually I ran 2 of him and my opponent could never get through... too bad haunter is pretty weak in damage. |

| Which is why you keep some Switches on hand. Swap him with his base set edition counterpart and be smacking with 50 damage.
Either that or just slap a PlusPower or two on Fossil Ed. The damage chips away, and if your opponent swaps his guys out, you can either keep makin' em go sleepytime, or Gust of Wind them back into action.
I used to run a brutal Psychic/Grass deck that Sleep/Poisoned everything the opponent had.
Even if he's a little wimpy, Koffing is awesome. His coin flip attack kicks so much ass...what is it, Sleep or Poison depending on what you flip? If you can keep him alive at all, he's just not right. |

| Yea, yea koffing was bad ass. And that combo, Man that's great. It was so hard getting the other guy to sleep, but yea the two haunters work so well together...
Ok, do you know the... dark champ card? His attack was fun. It's called fling and he sends the opponent's active pokeface to it's owners hand. Then the energy burns off.
Then he keeps loses all energy then you just kill the dry pokemon. It's great. |

| There were other cards to do that...all you ever really needed was in the first 3 sets...Base Set, Jungle, and Fossil. Once they started in after that, I was outta there. I got a couple Gym Leader cards and a few Base Set 2. Somewhere I may have a Dark Weezing and a Dark Arbok...both holofoil.
As far as raw power goes, Blaine's Arcanine was the ****... |

| Well, I just meant as a standalone. Of course you'd have to have Blaine's Growlithe to pull him, but a 90HP badass with an attack that does 120 is pretty harsh. |

| YuGiOh got really gay all of a sudden. Around the Elemental Hero set coming out, I just got tired of it.
They ended up banning some of the best cards, substituting them for semi-useless versions of the same thing. Pot of Greed, Change of Heart, Monster Reborn...pretty much all the staples of a standard deck got banned.
I just totally do not compute with the concept of banned cards...why make them if you can't play them? It really ticked me off when they banned my Envoys. |
