Installing Counter-Strike
I want to take my Counter-Strike Anthology to my school and instal it on a few computers, just to play on LAN against friends. Can I do so? Do I need a keygen or somthing? A kid did it last year but they ghosted the computer and it got taken off.

You can, all you need is steam account. Then ur all set.

Well you would need multiple steam accounts if you use steam. You can find an older version of Counter-Strike at Wal-Mart that has the older 1.5 version install disk, and then you can use a Keygenerator and be able to install it on multiple computers and LAN together(No Online Play).

You can also make multiple steam accounts and download 1.5 for steam and try that.(Not sure if that works)

I never did it but i know a kid who did what u want to do, he got it left on the computers but he said you need a lot of steam accounts for all your friends to play in the same server and lots of headsets with microphones, and you need all different cd-keys in order to install it on the comps and the stupid idiotic principal (i mean permission from everyone of them). OR!!! do what beck said to do.

On steam you can have up to like 8 people or smth on the same steam account under the same ip, which means 8 people on lan can play online with the same steam account.

but if u do that wouldnt it kick u off for using same steam account it happened to me before i have an account and tryed too share it with friends on lan and it wouldnt work (trust me it didnt work for me sometimes) but it worked for my friends cuz they know more than me

have each of your friends shell out 10 bucks for a codeblue to play CS. then theyll have there own copy for home as well.
